Did Jeb Bush Just Subtly Threaten President Trump?

First of all, Happy Independence Day to everyone who appreciates the essence of today’s holiday.  If you are just in it for the hotdogs and day off, I’m sad for you but perhaps there’s still some hope that, one day, you’ll truly get it.

If you are one of those who are oh-so-suddenly triggered and offended by the Betsy Ross flag, please just stay out of my way.

I was trying to think of something to write today but didn’t want to put together a typical Independence Day tract that someone else had already written.  But scanning through Twitter this morning, I saw this tweet from Jeb Bush and had to jump on it:

It’s no secret that the Bushes (and McCains) loathe President Trump.  After all, it was “Jeb’s turn” this time around, wasn’t it?  And after the way Trump handled Jeb during the Presidential primary, it’s no surprise those feelings run hot.

And when the matriarch of the Bush family (a former First Lady, no less) steps into the ring, you know the hatred runs deep.

Like the Kennedys, the Bushes assumed that each member of their royal brood should/would sit on the American throne.  Then along comes Donald Trump, all loud and boisterous, the most un-politician of all candidates, walking in and slapping the former Governor for Florida around – it was beautiful.

Like most of the country, they never saw it coming.  Unfortunately for “Low Energy” Jeb, he is the Teddy of his family and will never be President.

Didn’t it warm your heart to see the Bush family get sidelined and to lose their political bearing reacting to Trump’s tactics – talk about an endorsement.

And with all the animosity that does exist, it’s no surprise that Jeb would take an occasional swipe at Trump – but was it really in Jeb Bush’s best interest to post an underhanded thing like this?  He may as well just come out and publicly wish Donald Trump dead.

But like I said, he’s the Teddy of his family.
