So, once again, NH State Rep Joel Desilets (R??? – Windham) has decided to put himself into our sights here at GraniteGrok; it’s not like he hasn’t tried to before (“Sigh: And an NH GOP Town Chair supports a Democrat” and “Really, ahGAIN Joel Desilets makes us put our sights on him?“). And then he, according to sources inside and outside of Windham, is upset that we point out his actions and decisions. Gosh, you think that he’d had figured out when – sad, sad, sad when he brings us upon himself for actions that would be rather easy to divine, yes?
But no, it seemingly isn’t for this clueless one. So, we shall gently (and publicly) point out the errors of your way, Joel. After all, decisions have consequences and we are your’s:
Desilets voted with Democrats against a majority (usually super-majority) of Republicans on these bills. In other words, he voted to advance the Democrat agenda.
SB146 relative to eliminating the waiting period before eligibility to receive unemployment benefits. [do away with current 1 week wait period before benefits are given]
HB295 establishing a special marriage officiant license. [and also skims a portion of the license fee shall be deposited in the fund for domestic violence programs that then goes to a private charity]
HB253 relative to criminal records checks in the employee application process. [agreeing with Democrats that employers shouldn’t be able to ask about past criminal activity]
SB235 relative to sexual harassment complaints in the general court and authorizing an independent human resources professional.
HB211 relative to inquiries by prospective employers concerning salary history. [agreeing with Democrats that employers can’t ask about past salary history]
SB142 requiring feminine hygiene products in school restrooms. [for free – violating NH Constitution Article 28-A prohibiting the State in passing unfunded mandates onto cities and towns.]
SB279 relative to access to fertility care. [Now FORCING insurance coverage to include infertility treatments – $$$].
SB204 relative to distributed energy resources and consumer energy storage.
SB241 relative to funding for the project development phase of the capitol corridor rail project. [loving him the Democrat Choo-Choo train money grab that Windham voters will never see]
HB349 relative to a second opinion on health care matters for state and county prisoners.
HB469 relative to limiting amendments to warrant articles in towns that have adopted official ballot voting. [limiting amendments to warrant articles in towns that have adopted official ballot voting]
HB605 relative to criminal penalties for possession, transfer, or manufacture of animal fighting paraphernalia with the intent to be present at, aiding in, or contributing to such fighting [which can put regular folks in danger of this new law simply for having certain kinds of dog toys (for instance)].
HB466 relative to the capacity of electricity customer generators for eligibility for net energy metering [raising the cost of electricity for those not having solar panels]
HB494 relative to removal or containment of contaminants from the Coakley Landfill.
HB614 increasing penalties for air pollution. [outsources the Legislative Branch’s Powers to the Executive Branch / Administrative State]
HB365 relative to net energy metering limits for customer generators. [raising the cost of electricity for those not having solar panels]
SB88 relative to registry identification cards under the use of cannabis for therapeutic purposes law. [Eliminates the 3 month assessment period before approval]
SB6 relative to child protection staffing and making an appropriation therefor.
So now Windham (and everyone else, for that matter) should know his voting record. Add that to his endorsement of a Democrat over a Republican and then “To shove money into the figurative firebox of a train that will serve a few elites going down to Boston every day?” – what should Republican voters in Windham start to think about their choice come ballot box time?
