Jeanne Shaheen Just “Proved” a Stereotype

Sen. Jeanne Shaheen went there in a “rapid response” email blast after US Army General (ret) Don Bolduc announced his run to put her into retirement.

This is it, D.C.: Just hours ago, a far-right GOP candidate launched his campaign to run against me for New Hampshire’s Senate seat.

Right – as I said here, he has NO political history and what I have read of his writings, he’s not a “far-right” guy. In fact, watching his announcement spot on WMUR, it wasn’t clear what his political principles are.

He has no political footprint here in NH at all.

What’s his base, what are the stances (other than correctly stating that DC is screwing the rest of us over – I’ve never heard that out of HER mouth).

There’s a reason why we call her the Federal Ambassador from the United States to New Hampshire. Her allegiance is there and not here.  Not to people but to Government. A far away government. A Big Government.  She purports to “give” you things – and never tells you she has to take it from you to give it to someone else.

But she still called him “far-right.”

I guess she couldn’t roll out the favorite Democrat bon-mot-du-jour and apply it to a former Special Ops Brig. General: “extremist”.  In fact, I’m surprised that since he just “resettled” back in NH, this email didn’t call him a Free Stater, too.

You see, ANYONE that isn’t a Democrat is dubbed a “far-right, Free Stater, extremist.” That from the Party that calls themselves “tolerant.” It’s the inside joke on how they see any Republicans – even those we call RINOs, who vote more in line with them than the GOP Platform; tribalism on their part to the max.

There is no calm and collected, “oh, look who joined the race.”  There’s no “honorable” greeting to an opponent that is as decorated as he is.  Nope, it’s the Progressive way – smear with an epithet to diminish them.  You know, like how her boss, NHDP Chair Ray Buckley, hounded and lied about a Gold Star family?

And instead of laying down policy markers or stances on issues, it’s a smear.  And then an immediate pivot to….wait for it….wanting your money. I think Shaheen’s already got $6 million in the war chest.

Here’s the e-blast (emphasis mine):

This is it: Just hours ago, a far-right GOP candidate launched his campaign to run against me for New Hampshire’s Senate seat. And he is already promising to support Trump 100%.

This is the biggest moment of the campaign so far. My team is about to head into a meeting to respond, but here’s what we know for sure: The only way we’re going to protect New Hampshire’s Senate seat and take back the Senate is if everyone – and I mean everyone – pitches in $5 or more right now. (Click here to give now.)

It’s all hands on deck, D.C.. CBS News says this race could decide Senate control – and Mitch McConnell’s right-wing group has already launched attack ads to defeat me and maintain its Senate majority. If they get their way, we know that means more attempts to sabotage and repeal the Affordable Care Act, more tax breaks for big oil corporations, and more restrictions on women’s health care like the ones in Alabama.

GOP groups are now spending more money to defeat me than all the other in-cycle Democratic senators combined – and I can’t match their millions and stop my opponent without your help.

The next 48 hours are the most important of this campaign. Every dollar is going to matter, and what you do right now could make or break our chance to take back the Senate for Democrats:

Please, donate every dollar you can right now to help defend New Hampshire’s Senate seat so we can take back the Senate for Democrats.

Thank you,
Jeanne
