Masterpiece Cake Shop Sued for Discrimination Again

After Jack Phillips and Masterpiece Cake Shop won in the nation’s highest Court, Autumn Scardina, a pesky liberal lawyer sued him for discrimination again. That suit got tossed, but at the time I asked, “What are the odds there will be a round three?”

The odds are better than good.

The newest lawsuit claims Phillips discriminated against Scardina and used deceptive and unfair trade practices.

“The dignity of all citizens in our state needs to be honored. Masterpiece Cakeshop said before the Supreme Court they would serve any baked good to members of the LGBTQ community. It was just the religious significance of it being a wedding cake,” Griesen said. “We don’t believe they’ve been honest with the public.”

When the government creates something that thing needs to appear to be doing. Such is the case with Human Rights, civil rights, and equality, equity, and diversity commissions. Busy little beavers. Chewing away at first amendment rights. Pretending every ideological divergence is hate and must be punished. To help them look busy ax-grinding malcontents who have too much time on their hands are happy to validate their existence by discriminating against anyone who disagrees with their worldview.

Such is the plight of Masterpiece Cake Shop. Deliberately discriminated against by the Colorado Human rights commission. Jack was supposed to lay down and take it. Instead, he took it to the US Supreme Court and won.

That same day Scardina filed her first suit (number two of three). Because where there are grievance venues, “customers” will line up to help them appear to be doing.

Civil Rights Commissions exist to validate certain forms of discrimination as acceptable -at least until you take them to court. But why does it have to come to that

Because they won’t leave you alone!

Newsweek reports that the baked goods at the center of Scardina’s previous complaints to Colorado authorities included a “cake to celebrate Satan’s birthday,” with “cheesecake frosting” that would feature “a large figure of Satan, licking a 9” black Dildo…an actual working model, that can be turned on before we unveil the cake.”

I guess she was plumbing her right to a black dildo licking Satan cake from a Christian Baker. Because no other cake shops or bakeries including (if memory serves) the one that’s practical across the street would do.

That suit was tossed outBut when at first you don’t succeed sue for some other reason. Ding! Ding! Ding! – Round three! And Autumn is back for a rematch!

“The latest lawsuit was filed Wednesday in Denver District Court on behalf of Autumn Scardina by attorneys Paula Greisen and John McHugh,” the outlet reports.

Scardina is the same woman who filed the previous lawsuit alleging discrimination after Masterpiece Cakeshop denied her request — made the day Phillips won his case — for a cake celebrating her gender transition. Reports on this newest lawsuit are vague on the theme of the pastry in question — they have said, so far, only that Scardina requested a “birthday cake” — but previous filings indicate that Scardina has gone out of her way on several occasions to request cakes Masterpiece Cakeshop clearly will not make.

Because Jack Phillips has not been punished, and he refuses to bow to the new gods. He must be made to pay, or the wrong example is set for the others.

And the others must see him pay or they too will challenge the new order. And we can’t have any of that.
