Did the Senate Cram Funding for a New Hampshire Pet Czar into the State Budget?

Remember the Domestic Pet Czar Bill? It’s an oppressive bit of legislative gymnastics that we managed to get keel-hauled this session. It’s not dead, never was, but part of it may have been resurrected and stuffed into the state budget.

You’ll have to bear with me. I thought I’d saved it but can’t seem to resurrect the source. It was a short blurb at the end of the piece about some other legislation. It said the New Hampshire State Senate had added money to the State Budget to pay for the Pet Czar position.

If anyone has details on this, please email me. We worked hard to ensure that no portion of that awful legislation was enacted and without knowing the details, we should assume the worst.
