Steve Negron needs to step up NOW and take a public stand, assume a position and make it known.
Don’t wait until campaign season and then make us look back at all this stuff. Get in there NOW and generate attention.
The battle is here at the doorstep.. there is no more to think on it
For years, I have been saying that campaigning is every day, all day, 24/7, 365 and year round. Even in years where there are no elections. This is what the Progressives have wrought in making EVERYTHING political. Everything is fair game, and everything has had a political inflection imbued with their nonsense of “intersectionality” in which everything collides into everything else (even when it doesn’t). There is nothing left that is strictly personal, strictly private, and things that were once in the domain of intimate are now on full display, ready for comments, and prepared for a political fight.
Republicans have been rather bad at this – many still want to play by the old election rules of “a couple of weeks, coupla months, do a little bit here, a little bit there, and call it done”. While I may be exaggerating just a tad, many don’t have the motivation or the stamina to keep up the pace to stay even with the Dems that have embraced this new status quo. NHNative is right to tell Steve Negron to get involved and get involved NOW (unlike my example of John E. Sununu for which I caught a LOT of crap over). I think he knows this – smart guy.
But let me turn that around – not to other candidates but to you folks who read GraniteGrok. Look, I realize that the Groksters are political/news/culture junkies. From a passing interest to a hobby to an obsession (AND BEYOND!), this is what we do.
What some still don’t know is that we are all political activists – being candidates, helping candidates, running and helping advocacy groups, and even writing our own legislation to be considered (yeah, I’m still in that “sigh…” status). We are immersed in and with this whole maelstrom of political drang and sturm. For if not I, who else?
And that’s my point – you all are those “elses.” Start early and start now. Hey, I’d be willing for y’all to give up a bit of time reading GraniteGrok (OK, I kid – sacrifice time somewhere else (heh!)) for you to be that person to counter what the Lefty Socialist/tyrannical Democrats are doing.
Find someone that is running and help out. Failing that, find someone and convince them to run. Failing that, run yourself. Go help out an existing organization that is trying to make a conservative, Liberty and Freedom different here in NH.
Seriously – our Founders knew that only a moral people could keep our Republic. They depended on an informed and active electorate to keep the Freedoms they had won for us.
And if you can’t find someone, some group, to help well, I’ve got news for you!
You know who we, what we say, what we do, and what we believe. In this, we hope we are perceived to be Consistent, bold, and ever-present. It’s that last part in which we’re having a problem – we can’t be everywhere and still get all the background work done at the same time. So I ask:
Wanna be a Grokster?
I am looking for a few good folks in order to expand on what we do, how we do it, to do more of it. Frankly, we’re just about at full capacity on our bandwidth of our volunteer rag-tag rebellious conservatarians, and we need help. Just a partial list:
- Audio post-processing as we’re thinking about restarting GrokTALK! (take the audio, process it into “chunks” and then post it)
- Video post-processing – we can get to the different events but taking the video from the camera to YouTube to GraniteGrok? Yeah, it’s a lot of time that gets sucked up in which we can’t be doing the other stuff.
- During the Legislative sessions, ESPECIALLY with the Democrats passing these Freedom killing/social engineering bills (e.g., they left “representing” a long time ago and are at “Ruling like a King” status), we need to show what they are doing in their own words. Having folks available to go to Hearings, go to the Executive Sessions when they vote on bills to video them would be EXTREMELY helpful (the opposition, Granite State Progress, has done this for years).
- Ditto for other Right of Center events as the NH mainstream media refuses to the job.
- Someone to do some research for us when needed.
- And we’re always looking for the good, Liberty and Freedom minded folks that can bring the Snark just like we Groksters. That would include just writing on GraniteGrok itself – or a new, more targeted capability that we’re mulling over.
There’s more, and probably more that we have not thought of so if you have a hankering to do for us what you don’t see above, well, let us know.
