The Democrats latest crazy in a long and growing list is allowing 16 year-olds to vote. One example of why this is a bad idea is circulating the internet. A poem by a 16-year old boy calling himself “Psychedelic Warlord.” I need a butt-shine, Buff my ba**s, Wax my a**.
The entire poem can be found here if you need a good chuckle. An expression for which the author, Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke is now apologizing. But what a fine example of why what Democrats want is once again not good for you or the country.
Katrina Pierson gets all the credit for the epic take down.
Nancy Pelosi – “I myself have always been for lowering the voting age to 16.”
Beto O’Rourke at 16:
“Wax my ass,
Scrub my balls.
The Cow has risen,
Provide Milk.”*Apologizes for immature state of mind*#ThinkAboutThat

Not So Sweet Sixteen
New Hampshire won’t let 16-year olds smoke or drink alcohol. Just barely allowed to drive. 16 and 17-year-olds in New Hampshire need their parent’s permission to work. And there is a restriction on how many hours they can be employed even if they are not in school. And I believe they are prohibited from engaging in any number of occupations deemed hazardous or permitted with restriction.
They can’t get an aspirin from the school nurse. And sex with other eligible voters might be statutory rape.
They can’t drink or smoke and denying them the right to defend themselves until they are twenty-one is a growing fad on the left.
Eighteen Might be Too Young
Treat them like children but let them vote. Set budgets, elect politicians, decide constitutional questions. I think not. The only sane reason for allowing an 18-year-old to vote at this point is because they can be drafted or volunteer to serve in the military.
While we’re embracing the absurd how about linking “remaining on your parent’s insurance” to voting age? Democrat would love that, or maybe not.
But it might motivate them to get their own damn insurance (a job that provides it, or some other evidence of self-sufficiency) in which case they’d have skin in the game.
Note: An earlier version of this post made a reference to not being able to marry at 16. That is incorrect. With permission from a parent or guardian 16-year olds may marry. (It used to be 13 and 14). A bill to move it to 18 was tabled this week.
