Another Successful GrokMeet-Up: Manchester – Murphy’s Taproom

We’d like to thank everyone who made the trip and took the time to come to our most recent GrokMeet. Great turnout. Excellent conversation. And we tried something different. A Grok Panel. All the authors who made the event took the “stage” at Murphy’s Taproom and fielded questions from our readers.

We talked about what we’ve got planned moving forward and how people can help make a difference. Reading Granite Grok. Sharing GraniteGrok. Using the information we provide to help you interact with your friends and neighbors.

We talked about getting involved locally, running for office or recruiting candidates. And, of course, becoming a reliable source for information in issues. People are busy. It helps if they know you are a go-to person when they have questions because you’ve read the bill or seen some testimony or have knowledge about how a proposed issue worked or didn’t work someplace else.

And it wasn’t just the panel. Most of the time we were just mingling and talking, each of us working the room, that sort of thing. But Skip wanted to try this so he asked us up and there we are.

For those wondering, from the left to right Jim Kofalt, Myself, Norm Silber, Skip Murphy, Rick Olson, Ellen Kolb, and Kimberly Morin are pictured. We offered him a chair, but Norm chose to stand.

The GrokMeet continues to be a great opportunity to gather so that readers can interact with Grok Contributors directly. And we’re planning more of them. We’ve haven’t decided yet, but the next one will be in either Portsmouth or Keene. After that, we head north. So stay tuned. We’ll be in your area at some point soon, and we look forward to meeting you.
