Quick Shot: Virginia is for Voters! And By “Voters” They Mean Anybody.

The governor of Virginia has proposed reforms that would eliminate voter ID in that state. The package also includes something called no-excuse absentee voting. Together they provide no excuse for not stealing votes. But hey, this is for the people. Wait, which people?

According to the reporting at The Hill.com, it’s the “most vulnerable Virginians.”

The photo ID requirement prevents the most vulnerable Virginians from voting and silences the voices of those who most need to be heard.”

These are the people whom I presume are struggling with things like Medicaid or who are on Welfare. Folks who have to have a photo ID to access these and other government services like food stamps or housing. (Or, to buy cigarettes and liquor, drive a car, cash a check). Otherwise, how would we know if they were who they say? We can’t allow someone else to steal “vulnerable Virginian’s” benefits.

Right?

But we should let someone else steal their votes.

And they will.
