Quick Shot: Manchester Republican Mayoral Candidates Already Lining Up?

by

As the largest city in the state, Manchester has an idea about its own importance when it comes to politics. Democrats, in particular, are obsessed with it. And since the current mayor is a Democrat (Joyce Craig), they are readying themselves to smear whoever dares stand up to challenge her.

Craig is coy about a second term. According to Paul Feely at the Union Leader Craig says she is focused on the budget season. Fair enough. There is plenty of time and if we’re honest no shortage of out-of-state money (funneled through state and local party committees) to assist the incumbent. Challengers, on the other hand, will have to work at that. So, whose name is popping in January for a November 2019 municipal election?

Feely mentioned both Victoria Sullivan and Keith Hirschmann.

Sullivan has had conversations with Mike Biundo from RightVoter. Hirschmann says he is engaging local business leaders. Victoria is a two-term House Rep. Keith is a Ward 12 Alderman.

I’ve heard other names mentioned that I am not at liberty to divulge. But there are other potential Republican “horses” who could enter the race. Not that anyone has officially.

Feel free to reach out to Sullivan or Hirschmann with your thoughts. I’m sure they’d appreciate the interest.

No Love Lost

As for Sullivan, the Democrats have a special place in their black hearts for Victoria. Strong Pro-Life Republican women who support the second amendment and can’t be intimidated by the Left’s tactics are a thorn in their little snowflake paws. It’s easier to attack white men. Attacking women opens the party up to avenues of assault on their claim of being the party of women.

For the record, they are not. They are the party of abortion. And as soon as men can have them women should be prepared to get kicked to the curb like some starlet from Harvey Weinstein’s casting couch. But since we’re not quite there yet. Democrat State Party Chair Ray Buckley tells Feely he’s got a file on unlikely candidates like Sullivan in case they do decide to run.

Sullivan fired back on Twitter with, “I am so irrelevant that he keeps a file on me. Not at all creepy.”
