The final recount from the state election concluded late this afternoon, confirming a victory for Democrat Jon Morgan in State Senate district 23 over Sen. Bill Gannon.
Kevin Landrigan of the Union Leader reported a gain of 21 votes for Morgan and 22 for Gannon in the recount, with the final tally 12,911-12,806. Next stop for Morgan is the Ballot Law Commission, where a challenge to his candidacy based on residency will be heard Monday, November 26, at 10 a.m. in room 301 of the Legislative Office Building in Concord.
