Nate Silver – Motivational Pollster

Newsweek Madam President cropped

It wasn’t that long ago the internationally acclaimed pollster Nate Silver predicted an 84% win for Hillary Clinton against that guy with the funny haircut. Remember the Left’s wailing and gnashing of teeth when it turned out Hillary lost her second attempt at completely criminalizing the executive office?

Our socialist friends march to the beat of motivational pollsters who beef up their contact lists with friendly interviewees and manage the results.

The last time I was polled was in 2016 right before the November election. I was in the parking lot of a diner in Hillsboro when I got a jingle on my phone and the person asked if I had a few minutes to talk about the upcoming election. I always oblige. My pleasure.

The questions start out the same. “Who among the candidates I list would you be most likely to vote?” As soon as I find out it is a Democrat poll I begin my responses. In this case no matter what the pollster asked I would wholeheartedly proclaim my dedication to Hillary Clinton.

“All my friends are voting for Hillary and my family!” “Everyone at work is voting for Hillary!” “I can’t wait to cast my vote for Hillary!” I sound as sincere as possible without laughing out loud.

I have been doing this for years – even when they come to the house. The University of Chicago had a race relations study I was part of for a year. The pollster was stunned at my answers. Her mouth hung open as she flipped the plastic cards.

But this particular poll was different. I must have closed in on a Grammy Award for acting because at the end the pollster asked if I could talk to her supervisor about doing a commercial for Hillary. I had to decline because there is no way I could keep a straight face if it was in video format.

So, poll away Nate Silver, the Cook Report, Quinnipiac and the rest but remember – you might be responsible for counseling some day for encouraging and misleading liberal voters who thought that this time they really were going to win.
