Proof That the New Hampshire Firearms Coalition Survey is Meaningless; Alan Rice has emptied his mag in going to a gun fight

NHFC - response file is an anti-gun responseBack on July 30, I caught wind of how the NH Firearms Coalition had decided that IF you didn’t answer their questionaire or didn’t answer all of their questions, you were automatically ruled to be “anti-gun” or “anti-Second Amendment” (above).  Steve had more here as well.  And yes, I’ve also caught a lot of flack over posting it.  No matter, don’t care.  Well, I do care – about those that were about to be slimed worse than the celebrities that venture onto some Nickelodeon; at least on those shows, its all good, green gooey slime in fun.  With the NHFC, think of the opposite – and I blame, not the good folks that I know that are a part of it but the guy that signed the above – Alan Rice.  IMHO?  Power trip. With this little stunt to self-aggrandize himself, he’s not only diminished himself but the group he thinks serves, not the gun community, but himself. Almost all of we Groksters shoot and certainly all defend the Second Amendment and supporters that work, in way or another, to keep the REAL anti-gunners (that’s you, NH State Rep Katherine Rogers, you convicted assaulter!).

But with the above, Rice shows that he’s the equivalent of a crew served dual Ma Dueces on top of an MRAP controlled from inside (like the Youngest did) – but with a haywire control system that’s shooting at anything in sight.  Just out of control! How else can one countenance the idea that if you failed to respond, in part or in all, you’d get an “F”?  And here in NH, getting that in the Conservative community is like a whipping (and it seemingly makes Rice come off as some medieval enforcer – with a smile on his face.

So, people continue to send me stuff.  Here is their “rules” for “he loves me, he loves me not” because this certainly wasn’t an honest exploration of how a candidate really views the Liberty (and responsibility) protected by the 2nd Amendment:NHFC Scorecard rules

You get that?

F(RS) Indicates a deliberate refusal to accept or respond to survey.  Indicates open hostility to the Second Amendment”

I’m thinking that F(RS) translates to “an F for no Response to our Survey”.

How dinky is this guy, Alan Rice?  He equates not groveling answering to this cop as if you, a candidate, as being no better than a typical street perp as being, without proof, in opposition to the Second Amendment. How can ANYONE with a few functional grey cells in their noggin can equate the two (ANSWER ME, hate guns) make that leap of logic? I guess Alan Rice believes he has that power.  If this isn’t a power hungry person, who is in a rather civil society?  And look – he’s in a police uniform and I hear he’s from Massachusetts.  I guess the whole “innocent until proven guilty” philosophy that undergirds our judicial system is rather weak with this one – and him being in law enforcement and all.

Between Steve and I, we explored myriad issues with that not the least of which is the point of a survey: give voters an honest analysis of which candidates will vote the right way on firearms legislation. Not only does the NHFC survey not do that, it has proven to do the opposite. And yes, I’ll drip out a few that people have sent me. Let’s get to a good example now, however.

Steve Negron, whom we’ve endorsed, voted ‘the right way on every single gun bill that passed through the legislature over the past two years. Mr. Negron voted the exact same way as the NHFC Corporate Secretary, JR Hoell. Not to pick on JR but his bio on the NHFC website reads, in part, “JR Hoell has been a member of the NHFC Board of Directors for over 5 years. Additionally, as a State Representative, JR has proven himself to be one of the most stalwart advocates in Concord for your right to keep and bear arms.”

Due to JR’s absence, Steve actually cast two more good gun votes in the last two years. But Steve did not return a survey so NHFC gave him an ‘F.’

Screw you, Alan Rice!  And you’re lousy at doing surveys.  Sure, you have to do them for those that have no track record to read – new candidates.  But Negron HAS a track record – which Alan Rice IGNORED.  I’m getting to the point where even if I spelled out M-O-R-O-N, he’d get it wrong.  No other candidate in the CD-2 race has cast an actual vote of firearms legislation in recent years. More than a few of them have never cast a vote to protect your Second Amendment rights at all. They say the right words. Answer the questions the way they should. But have never taken action either way.

Alan Rice just waves his hands – and closed his eyes. Can’t remember if, for good measure, stuck out his tongue, put his thumbs in his ears, and screamed “NA-NA-NA-NA!!!  IT DOESN’T MATTER TO ME! NA-NA-NA-NA!!!”

But this isn’t about JR, or CD-2, or even Steve Negron. It is about the goal of the New Hampshire Firearms Survey. It should, if it is meant as a public service, provide honest information whenever it can about candidates for public office.  In the absence of information, if there is no intention to find it, it should remain neutral. It fails on all counts.

My example (and yes, let me remind you again, GraniteGrok endorsed him) of Steve Negron is that he’s solid on 2A and has the votes to prove it.

But Negron got an “F”.  Indeed, others that I know to be good supporters of the gun community also “didn’t rate” with Alan Rice.  I guess that they either didn’t support his Narrative or they were just cannon fodder so that he could support his own Narrative.

NHFC Scorecard

Now, is anyone surprised that Democrats failed the survey?  No, I’m not although I know of a Democrat running for the NH House from Laconia – Gail Ober.  We used to talk a lot at the range and while we disagreed on a lot, the Second Amendment wasn’t one of them.  I also, much to my surprise, met a self-identifying Socialist last week – but he supports the Second Amendment (so he said); go figure!

In looking at the results, I have a hard time believing that most of the Republicans have been judged as “anti-gun” by Alan Rice. I also look at the few people so judged and go “and how about everyone else that’s running?”. I went to their site a few days ago – no where did I see a link to the above.  I also just went there – same deal.

Is Rice now afraid to put up their results? Let me see if I have this straight – if candidates don’t respond to his survey or questions therein, they are anti-gun.  If he doesn’t put up his own survey, does that make him “anti-respectful”?  I could say worse; much worse in fact, but I think you already know that.

Alan Rice is making for a real bad reputation for the NHFC – I’m wondering if those inside that NHFC bubble understand what’s going on outside of that bubble?  Especially with the lack of transparency that seemingly is following him around like a starving dog with a bad case of Stockholm syndrome.

I’ve ignore most of the in-fighting that goes on here in NH between the different groups but to be perfectly blunt, with this bone-headed maneuver, he’s created a hang-fire that’s gonna last for a long, long time.

I’ll have more to say later on.  After all, I have some surveys that have been sent in.
