I continue to get Stuff – this time, the NHFC candidate survey itself

Actually, have had it for a while – and from a number of candidates that were rather peeved at it.  Good thing – unless I was looking in the wrong place (always an option!), I couldn’t find it myself anywhere on the NHFC site.  I thought that rather ironic that a gun group demanding openness and transparency from candidates on their views of the Right to Keep And Bear Arms wouldn’t allow others to see the survey that is getting so much talk (and not in a good way).  I remind you to look at the above image and see Alan Rice’s declaration (he’s the head honcho and responsible for this fiasco) that if you don’t answer this you are automatically anti-gun.  Some little tin-pot tyrant, IMHO, making the demand “PAY ATTENTION TO ME OR ELSE!!!”.

What a putz (I can send you my “Joys of Yiddish” if you want, Alan Rice, to understand what that means.  Yiddish is such a wonderful language for times such as this). I, however, digress.

What follows is the actual survey that was sent out to the candidates. However, other than the inflated ego demand on full display, I did see something that was missing – something very important.

First, though, have a read through this (and click on each image to embiggen it) – the four pages of the survey:

OK, what’s missing?  First let me remind you of this:

NHFC Scorecard rules

Yep, the scorecard – from A+ to F with additionals added in for “clarity”.

And that’s the rub – how does one arrive at a score?  Well, we can knock two of them out right off the bat.  Not sending one in get the F(RS) score.  Screwing up your answers (or, if a Democrat, joyfully answering the questions in a way to score the Socialist Gun Confiscation Merit Badge) gets you the F.

However, where is the “clarity” in determining an “A+” vs an “A”? A “D” versus an “F”.  I’ve taken a LOT of tests in elementary school, Jr. High (yes, I am that old to have it called that), Sr. High, undergrad, graduate school, and so many qualification / certification examples I can’t count.  But, I know how to take a test and I generally can figure out what the scoring system is.  I dunno if the candidate gets back his “graded” survey but how can one dispute a grade if you don’t know the rules for the questions?

Ah, there’s the rub again – who knows?  This situation brings to mind what Joseph Stalin was purported to say (and what billionaire Democrat George Soros put into action with lots of  $$$$ with his S.O.S. program to get Left leaning people elected to Secretary of State positions – you know, the people in the end who count the votes):

‘It’s not the people who vote that count, it’s the people who count the votes’.

Ponder upon that for a moment or two as you also think about what Democrat hack Colin Van Ostern is trying to do to NH Secretary of State Bill Gardner…but I digress.

So here, how is the “vote” counted?  Translation: how does one add up the points for each question?  Again, I go back to the demand of NHFC President Alan Rice who is DEMANDING that you be open and transparent to his survey, that you MUST answer everything to his specifications.  Yet, where is the NHFC Transparency in determining how the scoring is determined?

We don’t know. Somebody must know. I bet Alan Rice knows.  Maybe a few others.  I failed to ask but I doubt that the candidates that sent me copies and sent them in know either.  Does anyone know?  Oh wait!  I know who:

NHFC - scoring template please

Let’s see if I get any better response to my request than what the Ted Gatsas for Executive Council District 4 campaign did – whaddya think I’ll get for an answer?  After all, in the picture above, Alan Rice seems to be a jovial fellow – am I right?

To be continued
