So the union cries crocy tears for badly paid teachers. Union workers? MUCH better

NEA NH IRS 990

Dues were $7 million, salaries for 38 employees was $5 million – an average of $130K each.  From the NEA, we know what NEA affiliated NH teachers earn on average:

  • Beginning Teacher Salary: $36,845
  • Average Teacher Salary: $49,872

We ALL know that the union bosses are making WELL north of $130k (couldn’t find it in a quick search) from individual dues paying members (about $325/year). I did find this about the late State Senator who was the NEA President:

As NEA president, McGilvray will continue to earn a salary; he was paid $161,875 in 2014.

That about 500 teachers that are needed to pay just his salary; benefits are more.   Gosh, and I thought the overwhelming message in schools nowadays is “sharing is caring”; how come the union bosses are being so greedy with their membership dues?
