Oberlin Follows Mizzou and Evergreen – Enrollment Drops, Financial Woes

OBERLIN COLLEGEOberlin College is at the forefront of social justice outrage hoaxes but until recently had not reported any real-world consequences. See what I did there? Real world? Mizzou went full-stupid with their fake outrage which cost themand cost them and cost them, and then cost them some more.

Evergreen took it to another level, and now they are paying the price. And now the snowflakes at fragile artsy Oberlin have set themselves up to fail with their hoaxes and nonsense which (you should think to their drama-queen delight) parents and potential future students have been watching.

To make matters worse, the Oberlin administration, urged on by faculty and radical students, used the hoax as an opportunity to double-down on social justice and racial dogma, Oberlin racism hoax exploited to advance “even more extreme policies”:

Legal Insurrection has a long list of Oberlin’s antics here which you should skim through to get a sense of just how screwed up Higher Education is in America today. And why informed parents and students looking for some value for their overpriced education dollars might choose to avoid the Oberlin’s, Evergreens, and Mizzou’s.

All of which leads to this.

Oberlin College is looking at a $5 million deficit heading into the 2017–18 academic year due to an unexpected drop in admissions. This not only strains budgets for the upcoming fiscal year but also points toward a much larger budgetary issue that has been brewing under the surface for years.

Translation: real people aren’t interested in your crap-storm, snowflake bulls**t. And at $52,000.00 a year (give or take) that’s some expensive bulls**t.

And look who got hit (first) and hardest.

Because of the deficit, the board chose to hold all non-union salaries at their previous level unless otherwise stipulated by a contract, including faculty member salaries, for the second year in a row.

Bahahahahaha! And that’s just the beginning of the end.

Because while the progs and commie Antifa Democrats may still find a way (some day) to force taxpayers to suffer the cost of a community college education, no one is ever going to pony up that kind of scratch to keep a social justice armpit like Oberlin above water.

It will be up to alumni (like Lena Dunham) to make substantial donations to stop the bleeding.

Will they do it?

Time will tell.
