You’ve seen the Leftist protesters at the Trump rallies and they have said they will be targeting other Republicans and the Republican Convention – anyone my age or older remembers Chicago ’68 when the same type of folks tried to force the Democrats to their will. Not exactly non-violent, was it? So now the NH Rebellion has decided that it is going to participate in a march with these folks – their Presser is after the jump – and it is clear from reading the Leftist sites that the NH Rebellion is whitewashing what is about to happen.
The following is the email I sent to Brian Biehl (Interim Dir. Open Democracy), Brian Tilton (former Comms Dir, NH Rebellion), and Jim Rubens (an advocate for NH Rebellion):
Democracy Spring is Coming — And DSA Will Be There! And You?We have big plans for this spring. At that point, either Congress will have miraculously come to its senses and passed the perfectly viable reform bills now pending before it, or those who protect corruption will leave us no choice but to reclaim the People’s House in mass nonviolent sit-ins.Beneath the dome of the rotunda, on the steps outside the Capitol, and in the offices of our elected officials, we will engage in peaceful civil disobedience for at least five consecutive days. Millions of people will watch as Congress puts thousands of disciplined, dignified democracy defenders in handcuffs instead of simply doing its job to protect the bedrock American principle of “one person, one vote,” to ensure equal representation for all people.
This isn’t “what Democracy looks like” – this is a mob directed by the Hard Left. Not a SINGLE Conservative group is participating – not a one!I can only remember that old saw my Mom taught me when I was a young’un – still holds true: you are who your friends are. And you’re gonna be seen marching with folks that will be seen as your “friends”. Proves what we’ve been saying about NH Rebellion for a while.
And Jim, the optics of this, with you well identified with this group AND running as the Conservative alternative to a “Kelly gone DC”, absolutely SUCK.

NH Towns Demand Action on Campaign Finance Reform
Resolutions passed 15 town meeting with 2-1 margins or higher
PHILADELPHIA – In 1999, New Hampshire’s Doris “Granny D” Haddock began a walk from California to to Washington, DC at age 89. And she made it. Haddock spread the word among ordinary Americans on how Washington’s politicians had been corrupted by a campaign finance system which benefits campaign donors, not voters. Two years later, with U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold on one arm, and Sen. John McCain on the other, Granny D walked up the Capitol steps.
This Saturday, members of the New Hampshire nonprofit NH Rebellion, along more than 150 other walkers, begin another audacious march, this time from Philadelphia to Washington, DC as part of a national protest of big money politics called Democracy Spring.
“It’s my time to do my part,” said Zoe Picard, of Webster. “I believe in democracy. I really believe that all voices should be heard. And in honor of Granny D, I’m challenging like-minded individuals to rise up and force our politicians to reform our system,” she said. Picard is joining the walk in Baltimore for the last 40 miles
The Democracy Spring march will take 9 days and arrives in Washington on December 11, when nonviolent sit-ins around the U.S. Capitol building are planned. Joe Magruder, retired Concord news editor, said he is willing to get arrested for the cause.
“Making us all equal citizens when it comes to choosing our leaders is the moral issue of our time, and this is a way to make that happen,” Magruder said. Magruder, a Vietnam veteran, added that he has walked in other NH Rebellion walks in New Hampshire, but felt compelled to go to Washington to send a strong message directly to Congress.
Following the Democracy Spring actions, a large rally is planned for April 17 on the mall in Washington, and tens of thousands are expected from all over the country. Over 140 groups are mobilizing their members to attend Democracy Awakening, with buses streaming in from up and down the eastern seaboard. Groups supporting the rally, and actions the following day, include democracy and voting rights groups, the NAACP, the AFL-CIO, church organizations, senior groups, and environmental activists.
Asked why he was walking all 140 miles from Philadelphia, Lyme, NH’s Rick Bourdon responded, “I think that the people of this country need to do more than complain. Now it’s time to take action. I’m walking and protesting, but you can write a letter, call up your representatives or get active in your community. But we can’t afford to do nothing,” he said. “Our democracy has to be saved.”

And oh, btw, having just gone through the FITN Primary and my hamlet’s SB2 balloting for its Town meeting, I can assure you that every person that wanted to vote and could show they were eligible to vote in our town had the chance to vote.
“One Person, One Vote” worked.
And as far as Big Money polluting the primary so far, well, how’d that work out for Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio this time around? And yet, I see that Bernie (on the Socialist side) is way outspending Hillary (yeah, another guy who wants Big Money out of elections is spending Big Money to get elected – how’s that $1.5 Million in private jetting around in Feb hanging fer ya?) and still far behind.
Again, to amplify what we’ve been saying, the only purpose that NH Rebellion has is to silence Free Speech Rights.
