Especially one that his public face was to be anti-gun to the max to the point of civilian disarmament. Steve all over this California State Senator when he was arrested for….wait for it…..being a gun runner. Ayup – do what I say and not what I do. Big time! Steve was all over this when it broke that this hypocrite-to-the-max was arrested (here, here, here, here, here, here, and here). I am glad to report we have yet another convicted felon – a DEMOCRAT convicted felon:
BREAKING: California Anti-Gun Crusader Leland Yee Sentenced to 5 Years for Gun Running
Technically, the former California state senator and ardent civilian disarmament advocate was sentenced for pleading guilty to trading political favors for campaign contributions. But as the LA Times reports, “Yee admitted in a plea deal that he was part of a racketeering conspiracy that involved exchanging official acts for money, conspiring to traffic in weapons and money laundering.” So now the man who did everything he could to keep law-abiding Golden Staters disarmed will be spending his time in an impeccably tailored orange jumpsuit and Velcro sneakers with his former partner in crime, Raymond “Shrimp Boy” Chow wondering where it all went wrong.
The irony – its wonderful! But only for 5 years? Imagine what he would have gotten in New Jersey? Now that I think of it, five years is WAY too low – imagine what happens when an ordinary citizen runs afoul of the CA law concerning gun restrictions – not even close to the leniency this hypocrite got.
