A Nutter Gun Mall Shooting

I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they’ve always worked for me. Hunter S. Thompson

Schoop_Paramus_Gunman20-Year-old Richard Schoop entered the Westfield Garden State Plaza Mall in Paramus and started shooting up the place. Shoop, known to the Police, was a drug user. Nobody was killed in the shooting. Police found Shoop in the early hours of the morning. He had taken his own life.

The Garden State is among those states who have some of the toughest gun laws in the country. So the question is, albeit rhetorical, “How did this happen?” How does New Jersey show the rest of the nation that their zero-tolerance policy for gun violence is effective and works?

It now appears the metric for shootings by nutters has changed as well. There were no innocent victims struck down by bullets in this shooting and it has made the national news. It becomes painfully clear that this event was about the act…the gun….No…wait, there was “one innocent victim” here….Richard Shoop…who took his own life…the shooter….”killed by a gun.” So, my opening rant contains a public service feat. I’ve provided the “No More Names” Ninnies with an entry they can cut and past for their list.

As we go forward into 2014, it is important for us to think of the ever-changing contexts willingly provided  to we the sheeple, by the Kool-Aid Drinking, true-believing liberal anti-gun cadre. Because you can surely bet each day will bring yet another. But….we soldier on.
