Most of us knew that the Young are going to be paying well MORE than their fair share in supporting Obama’s Socialized Medicine and that Oldsters would not be (mostly because they vote more frequently). Those following this “train wreck” (great line, Senator Baucus! Thanks for being the “Architect” for this – and now retiring as it comes into reality) pulling out of the station already knew that smokers are going to get hit REAL heard by this – their premiums may lead the pack (yes, pun intended).
But the news of the day is that there are now others in the Obama line to pay the Obamacare train wreck ticket prices:
- If you are overweight – BMI, anyone? (Check)
- If you have high blood pressure (Check)
- If you have high cholesteral (Check)
Yeah I win the Trifecta – even as the last two CAN be modified by weight loss, but EVERYone in my Mom’s family had the last two two – ya think the IRS will give me a pass on my paperwork (due to genetics)? People who will cost the Government a LOT more money than I? My meds cost under $500 / year, full boat price. I’ve seen nothing about folks that engage in dangerous activities:
- Skydiving
- Scuba diving
- Surfing REALLY big waves (if you have to be towed out, or there has to be really fast Skidoos to save you…)
- Walking across the Arctic by yourself
Or any other number of voluntary physical activities or sports that carry a higher than normal risk factor. Like these too:
- Willful substance abuse – regardless of what the PC crowd wants to say, it still is a willful decision that is made to engage in a detrimental activity
- Promiscuous sex- regardless of what the PC crowd wants to say, it still is a willful decision that is made to engage in a detrimental activity
- Hetero – with the rise of untreatable STDs; should Obamacare get them paying more?
- Gay – AIDS meds cost a LOT more than mine (quick googling show ranges from $10K – $25K)
Oh, I get (slap of hand to forehead) – these are PC protected groups! Sorry, how stupid could I be? The new ObamaRule of “we NOW demand self-restraint and self-control” only applies to folks we don’t like. I get it now – not being Obama “friend to be rewarded”, I guess “fat people” are going to be punished.
