Life Imitates Democrat legislation

I was just reading Scott’s post about the chickens of modern day feminism coming home to roost and it occurred to me;  the video of the young man that dodged the ball that then modified the face of  his date is a perfect example of how the left wants us all to behave.

I’ll call this “Life imitates Democrat legislation.”  Do tell?

A Majority of New Hampshire House Democrats and (three Republicans), just voted to ensconce into state statute the very thing that this young man just did by voting to repeal stand your ground.  If you can retreat…do so. He did. She took it right in the face.

The progressives don’t want you to take responsibility.  They do not want you to exercise your judgment.  You are not allowed to think.  Run away!  Someone from the government will get there just as soon as they can.

Here’s the video again.

As you watch it think about HB 135, a law that says your first thought when confronted with a potential threat to yourself in public is to find a way for you to retreat.

There is no regard for circumstance or who may or may not be around you that may also be at risk.  If you are armed and capable of defending yourself or others…you must first try to flee.

We presume that you are fully aware of the fact that failing to do so (should this become law) could result in lawsuits, criminal charges, missed work, public scrutiny, lots of lawyers fees….

It is exactly where a tyrannical government would want you to be.  Intimidated by the risk of exercising the right to self defense, of yourself,  your property, of that of others, almost anywhere you have a right to be but in your own home.   HB 135 doesn’t take away your firearm but it still disarms you.  And that comes with a price that someone will end up paying.

In this example, we can see who pays when people are programmed to flee.  Consider it a warning.  Notice his concern after the fact.  Oh my, how terrible that you too did not know to flee as I did.  Will it help if I can find an approved and duly appointed professional to attend to the injury I could have prevented?
