BlogHeadline of the Day – yes, it involves the Constitution

by

From the Washington Times:

Congress has a Constitution problem — many don’t understand document

The article talks about how various CongressCritters quote the Constitution in “defending” the constitutionality of their bills (pretty much, the results are what you would think).

Many don’t know the Constitution nor the philosophy that undergirds it.  Thus, when they write and vote on bills, there is little sense of “Is this right or wrong based on the ultimate Law of the Land”?

However, I would rewrite that headline to be:

Congress has a Constitution problem — many don’t understand document (and don’t care to)

Some just because of self-puffery of their title.  Many, however, don’t care as they have allegiance to another philosophy (i.e., the Members of Congress that are also Members of the Democratic Socialists of America).
