I am not a movie person – TMEW is, but not me. But given what I read about Act of Valor, I was convinced that I wanted to see it. Having missed it in the local theaters, I bought it. Watching it right now. It shows that the folks in the action scenes are real SEALs on REAL training sessions which were then put together to make it look like an active movie. Given that these SEALs had real missions (not real training) in between these training sessions, I can say that I am impresses. I have already seen things that I didn’t know that they did – one can only wonder about the other stuff that we’ll never know about.
Heroes. Real heroes. Like the ones that really killed OBL.
Not that other guy that is trying to take credit for it.
Buy the movie. Watch it. Then go find a REAL hero and tell them “thank you for your service and thank you for ALL of your sacrifices – all of them.”
Indeed – The Avengers might have been Frikkin’ Awesome, as Steve said (and I agree). This movie, however? Takes your breath away – because this is reality. Be thankful that rough men do the violence they wish they didn’t have to do, in the night, to protect us. May God protect them.
