Lucianne.com is just about my favorite for news aggregators and most days they have a political cartoon that just fits the bill. Given that my hopes were crushed when MY numbers weren’t the winning ones in this week’s Mega-Million, this put things into context. WE ordinary people look at that $640 million won (out of the $1.5 Billion actually paid in) as being a Bid Deal (we’re more polite than Joe Biden of BFD fame). But to our Federal (out-of-control-spending) Government?
No, not a regular player – first time. And was going to buy only 1 ticket until TMEW made the decision: 5 tickets. Knowing that the lottery is a tax on people who can’t do math, I generally only buy 1 at a time and only when the amounts go way up – it makes it easier to daydream to sleep most nights (and probably cheaper than sleeping pills too)
