I was the opposite of North Korea (thanks, Steve; I had forgotten about using that image!) – EVERY.LIGHT.IN.THE.HOUSE.WAS.ON! I even bought TMEW a new DVD player – it streams movies much better than the old one – just another indication of what modern life can do for a better standard of living!
Now that it is all hooked up and working just fine (only item left is to get the wireless keyboard to work with the DVD player), I’m back to doing a wee bit of surfing before bed time and I just ran across this post over at RWN which has, I think, that the best short prose that describes the inanity of Earth Hour:
