If you are considering a vote for Mitt Romney on January 10, and if you feel strongly about the following list of issues, you may want to think again. Despite what he says today, Romney supported stronger gun laws for Massachusetts (the only current candidate to do such a thing). He also once assured MA voters that he would strongly defend a woman’s right to choose. He advocated for the bailouts, stimulus, and TARP. He nominated liberal judges to the MA Supreme Court. He supports failed Federal Control of our children’s education, advocating for No Child Left Behind and President Obama’s Race To The Top. Romney believes in man-made global warming and supports a Cap and Trade system, penalizing companies who then pass their costs down to us. He also said that the 10-20 million illegal immigrants should register, getting on a “path to citizenship”, yet he has no plan to reduce what some experts estimate as their annual $100 billion cost to Americans. On most issues, Mitt Romney has shown absolutely no consistency over his political career. Some explain this inconsistency away as “Mitt moving to the right” but the rest of us know better and realize that Mitt will say WHATEVER it takes to get himself elected. Electing slick, opportunistic politicians is how we got into this mess. Given the state of our economy, and our dangerous Federal spending, are you willing to take a chance with Romney’s ping-pong game of positions? Not me.
Me supporting Mitt Romney? Hardly
