In today’s Laconia Daily Sun (P.10), we see an "advocacy" group, a "social services" organization, doing what most seem to do when their gravy train gets yanked – complain and hurt the ones they "serve". Here, we see the titular head of Planned Parenthood of New England skewering innocents as "payback" to the NH Executive Council’s decision to not award them a $1.8 Million contract:
Planned Parenthood says birth control services were stopped by council vote
CONCORD (AP) — Planned Parenthood of Northern New England says it has had to stop providing birth control services after New Hampshire’s Executive Council voted against renewing a $1.8 million contract with the organization.
Opponents said the state should not contract with Planned Parenthood because it also provides abortions.
Steve Trombley, the organization’s president and chief executive officer, said the decision cost 92 people access to birth control services on Friday alone and more seeking help to avoid pregnancies will be turned away.
Trombley said he is hoping the council will reverse its 3-2 vote against renewing the contract.
Once again, I say:
Not only does it show a dependence on society on and for the most personal of behavior, but through the outgrowth of the entitlement mentality that they have engendered, we see a the growing sense of selfishness amongst those dependent upon it: how DARE you not provide for me?
Or in this case, "how DARE you not give me the money that keeps others dependent on us?"
Let’s follow the money, shall we? That $1.8 Million contract? It is worth about $150,000 / month. I went to Walmart.com (that bastion of capitalism so hated by socialist and liberals) just to see the pricing. What I found was that there was one generic for $4/month and a handful at $9/month. Overall cost: $368/month or $828/month.
So the context is this: For a percentage of either 0.24% or 0.552% worth of the contract (or about 3 cups of coffe a day), Steve Trombly is crying like a baby (do aborted babies cry, Mr. Trombly?) for what is less than a rounding error. But what else would you expect from someone who is so attached to the taxpayer money river?
Here’s a hint: stop doing abortions, and just maybe you might get that vote reversal. So Mr. Trombly – which is more precious to you: the money, or dead babies? You’re pro-choice: make one. Either man up or shut up.
