From the Des Moines Register, via today’s Drudge Report (which also includes various stories about the unraveling of America), the latest poll shows Bachmann and Romney in a dead heat. No one else comes close. Sooo….
Bachmann wins in Iowa, taking away Romney’s "next in line" status. Then the conservative movement unites behind her in NH, and she wins (just like Bill O’Brien won the speakership and Jack Kimball won the state GOP chairmanship). Then…with Sen. DeMint boosting her in South Carolina, she sweeps the "first three." In which case she could pull it off.
Meanwhile, back in New Hampshire…the conservatives and libertarian-conservatives insist on rooting for Ron Paul (who cannot win), Herman Cain (who cannot win), Tim Pawlenty (who will not win), and so forth. All which helps toward the ultimate goal of Romney winning.
I hope you’re all proud of your ferocious independence and heartfelt support of "your special candidate." So, instead of uniting as a movement in New Hampshire, we’re helping to set up an ultimate choice between…Obama and Romney.
Satisfied about that, all you conservatives and libertarian-conservatives out there? Does the prospect make you happy?
