CAIR and the Muslims are always kvetching about hate crimes….

Does a Progressive group calling Cornerstone Action akin to being the Taliban a hate crime?  Certainly, Blue Hamphire doesn’t think so.  But I digress…the latest FBI numbers are out.  In order of incidence in 2009: 8,336 victims of hate crimes:

  • 48.8 percent of those victims were targeted because of a racial bias (4,057 victims of racially motivated hate crimes; anti-white bias was  16.5 percent)
  • 18.9 percent because of a religious bias
    • over 70 percent were victims of an anti-Jewish bias
    • 8.4 percent, were the victims of an anti-Muslim bias.
  • 17.8 percent because of a bias against a person’s sexual orientation.

If you read the MSM, it would seem that Hate Crime victims literally litter each and every street corner in every town in the US – we are such Haters!

8,336 victims?  And for those that say that many crimes of this nature go unreported, go ahead, double it.  Triple it.  Heck, go X 10.  Then put it into context that we have 310,000,000 here in the US.  Go ahead, do that math.

As the article states:  It is still safer to be Muslim than it is to be a Jew.  Looking at the stats, it is also safer to be gay than Jewish.  Yet, of the three groups, which one is the least reported by the MSM?

See what playing the Political Correctness card gets you.

Oh, and for the record, I don’t believe in the notion of setting up ANY special category of crime like "hate crimes"; if the assault happens, it doesn’t matter the motivation or thinking is – just the crime.
