What if Politicians HAD to beg for taxes….hmmmm

by Skip

Don Boudreaux hits it exactly on the head:

The Washington Post‘s Ezra Klein pities politicians for all the time the poor dears must spend raising money from donors who can choose whether or not to contribute.  I pity taxpayers for all the time politicians spend taking money from them, whose only choice is to hand it over or go to jail.

Beg for dollars to gain the ability to merely take the money.  And that is much a part of the problem America has today – too many politicians with just too many ideas about how other peoples’ money should be spent for yet other people.

It is rapidly getting to the point where the people who have actually earned the money are having their choices reduced just because someone else has the hubris in believing "they have made enough money".

Why was it OK for the Left to scream "That’s an invasion of their Privacy!" when the Patriot Act said it was OK to review library check-outs, yet people no longer have the privacy concerning their finances (Dodd-Frank finance reform)?

Because it’s all about Government having free access to the benjamins….
