A couple of cute kids singing at Jeanie Forrester’s House Event

Saturday, I fulfilled a promise that I had made and did the long trek up to Wentworth, NH to attend a house event in support of Jeanie Forrester – new to politics, she beat long term politician Fran Wendelboe in the Republican primary in NH Senate District 2 and will be facing Deb Reynolds (the incumbent Democrat).

Mollie Brown, the elder of these two sisters, has been on the ‘Grok before – she sang the national anthem at Jim Forsythe’s kickoff meeting (and now is the Republican nominee in NH Senate District 4, having defeated George Hurt in his primary) and she sang at Jeanie’s as well.

Normally, I am not enthused about using kids for campaign purposes – campaigns are for adults and children should not be used as political pawns or human shields by either the Right or the Left.  However, in talking with their Dad who explained that they had come up with the song entirely by themselves and that the first attempt at recording it did not go well, it turned into a good idea.

Thus, I’m proud to give the Brown sisters a wider audience – a bit better optics here.
