Yesterday’s Liberty Rally at Senator Gordon Humphrey’s

I got there late – the official start time was 2pm and because of a previous engagement, I did not arrive until 3:30.  Even though the speeches were done, there were still scores of cars around and people animatedly talking with others. 

Former US Senator Gordon Humphrey has been  on a tear lately – he sees this State of NH and his beloved country succumbing to what de Tocqueville called the bane of all democracies: "Soft Despotism" and is utterly irate at those who have decided to simply grab power instead of acting as ‘the consent of governed – and he’s naming names!  And unlike many on the Right within "The Establishment", he has not hidden his ire or disdain for those that have put aside the traditional values of the Constitution.

I asked him about that, and since part of the event was the Senator endorsing Ovide Lamontagne (candidate for US Senate), I asked him about Ovide and his chances on being effective as a new Senator:

Apologies to the Senator for my use of the phrase "self-righteous" on my part- the Senator was  absolutely correct in correcting me!  Also, when someone like Senator Humphrey endorses you, you generally come to their event – and Ovide did:
