Seacoast Republican Women – Questions 1 – 11

by Skip

As I said here, everyone got their own question and therefore, no "piling on" for answers.  Sure, they got the chance to figure out their answers a couple of days ahead of time as Moderator Nancy Stiles said at the beginning.  Personally, I wish the questions had just been sprung on them rather than the chance to wordsmith / memorize / and deliver.  Still, it was easy to figure out, for me, who has said similar stuff in the past (and not) and who spoke as they normally would (or didn’t).

Your mileage will vary, especially if you do NOT search the ‘Grok for past performances – the ENTIRE reason why I am spending so much time doing these videos and traveling all over the State.  Effectively:

I record (w/out comment) – YOU watch, YOU decide.

And decide based on information rather than only "Feelings" (nice for a song, not for elections).

I do want to say "THANKS" to Diane Bitter of the Seacoast Republican Women who invited the ‘Grok!

Question 2: Jack – the Court system; what qualities do you think are necessary in the State Supreme Court Justice and why?

Question 3: John – The Law of the Land. United States and NH’s Constitutions. Some refer to the Constitution as a "living" document; in your opinion, what do they mean and do you agree?

Question 4: Karen – What “deal” did the NRA recently cut with the U.S. Congress to protect itself from First Amendment repeal?  What are your thoughts about this independent action and how does that translate to New Hampshire and her citizens?

Question 5: Frank – Do you agree with the Attorneys General of the states who are suing the Federal government over the mandate imposed on the states by Obama’s health care?  How do you see New Hampshire’s role in this issue?

Question 6
: Jack – In a crisis, the Governor might need to enlist the services of our National Guard.  In your opinion, is the New Hampshire Guard fully staffed and prepared for an emergency?

Question 7: John – Describe your idea of the “right” size of our state government?

Question 8: Karen – Explain your understanding of the functions of New Hampshire’s Executive Council and how you plan to work with this council?

Question 9: Frank – Do you believe that the legalization of additional forms of gambling would be beneficial to our State?  Would adding more gambling improve or hinder our state – economically and socially?

Question 10: Jack – Do you believe that voter fraud exists in New Hampshire?  If so, how could that be addressed?

Question 11: John – Do you believe that State’s rights, as described in the 10th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, trump the Federal government’s control of our state?  If so, why, and how would you enforce this?
