Ha! You never know who is going to walk through the door to a Bloggers’ Lounge – and Friday at the RightOnline conference (hosted by Americans for Prosperity) was no exception!
I got the chance to see a number of the national level bloggers as well as some old blogger friends. And new folks showed up as well! "Dan" came in (never learned his real name), as big as life with a belly laugh to match – waving a book that he had just compiled: "Ho! Ho! O! – The Unofficial Tea Partiers’ Barack Obama Joke Book".
Why did he do a comedy book about Obama? Well, to steal a phrase from that old joke – he just had to cross that road! He was just passing them out and I told him to come back for an interview – and he did. Until that time, however, TMEW was reading it – and did not stop smiling or emitting soft chuckles the entire time it was in her hands. Like in the movie, the Netroots have to take a piece of advice: "Lighten up, Francis!" – and this will lighten our side up.
