RightOnline-General Session Speaker: John Fund of the Wall Street Journal

by Skip

John, one of the "lower keyed" speakers (when compared to Curtis Sliwa) talked about the current political environment in great detail and range (er, lower key does not mean less content!).  He brought up the NetRoots problem; the general public do not like the "nice things"  government is giving them.  They are plunging in the polls and a majority of people believe Obama IS a Socialist – and even some Democrats think he’s making government too big.  We, the TEA Partiers and conservatives, have more power in influencing government than any other generation in history – and we are opposing not just the Democrats but the big government Republicans as well!  LIberals campaign as moderates but govern as big "L" Liberals – and that is why we are here.

Best line (in speaking about the NetRoots):  You could walk through their deepest optimism and not get your ankles wet.

Co-founder of GraniteGrok, my concern is around Individual Liberty and Freedom and how the Government is taking that away. As an evangelical Christian and Conservative with small "L" libertarian leanings, my fight is with Progressives forcing a collectivized, secular humanistic future upon us. As a TEA Party activist, citizen journalist, and pundit!, my goal is to use the New Media to advance the radical notions of America's Founders back into our culture.
