Last week we finally caught up with Gov Jeanne Shaheen as she made a campaign stop at BAE Systems of Nashua (4,700 employees in NH and another 1,000 in their MA operations). As reported in this prior post, during the event, she got taken to task for her silence on her party’s characterization of this fine NH company as "war profiteers" that are "bilking the taxpayers for billions."
Well, the discomfort for the cagey Democrat politician didn’t stop there. One questioner repeatedly asked her for some type of solution or opinion on fixing social security. Not satisfied with her standard "thrash Senator Sununu’s plan" answer, he wanted something more. All she could muster was some pap about Social Security being fine, that those advocating changes to the system were simply employing fear tactics.
Funny– that was among the same answers she gave a gentleman who quizzed her on the misnamed "Employee Free Choice Act" (EFCA). Here is the video of that exchange. Her apparent ignorance of the topic is stunning, as is her cavalier dismissal of the secret ballot in the voting process…
I will be ashamed if my fellow Granite Staters pick this woman over Senator Sununu in tomorrow’s election. How could voters throw out one of the most thoughtful, independently-minded Senators we’ve ever had in Washington and send this empty pantsuit with all of her special intererest and union baggage in his place?
Remember,
-
You don’t like "dirty politics"? Ms. Shaheen’s spouse Billy specializes in the art of nasty!
-
Do we really need someone so partisan and so willing to spout an out and out lie as to blame California brush fires– BRUSH FIRES FOR CRYING OUT LOUD– on the President of the United States?
-
She’s so phony in her "concern" for the environment that she’ll order the release of billions of gallons of water held in a dam system during a drought to facilitate a photo op with fellow environmentalist poseur AlGore (not to mention those fuel-wasting union big rigs at all her events haulin’ nothin’ but signs– and empty rhetoric)
-
In cahoots with her Democrat cronies, is apt to say most anything, true, or not, in order to curry favor with somebody. NH high-tech companies servicing our nation’s security needs are "war profiteers?" How "unfortunate…
