Look Who Is Against Democrat Background Check Bill

New Hampshire Democrats attacked Republican Senator Kelly Ayotte’s vote on the background check bill by supporting the out of state anti-gun money Gun Rights winspent by New York City Mayor while bringing someone from Connecticut here to tell us how we need to support the same kinds of laws for New Hampshire that failed in Connecticut–as if we couldn’t make that choice for ourselves.

Well someone has a message for those New Hampshire Democrats and Mayor Bloomberg…

The mayor of New York City is running ads against me because I opposed President Obama’s gun control legislation. Nothing in the Obama plan would have prevented tragedies like Newtown, Aurora, Tucson or even Jonesboro. Not So Easy

Staples, the Office Supply chain, has denied a local gun store its application to participate in a contest for small businesses.  Yes, I know.  A Town of about Staples not so easy if you own a gun shop9 square miles with the population of Merrimack New Hampshire (Fremont Nebraska), happens to have (a least one) gun store in it run by two Army veterans; sounds like a small business to me.  So why can’t this small business participate in a contest for small businesses?

Staples has rules for its contests and their bureaucracy appears to be as intellectually agile as any other.  That is to say, not at all. In a denial letter to the gun shop, from staples, (excerpted here) we find the fly in the ointment.

Entry contains content that promotes alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms/weapons (or the use of any of the foregoing); promotes any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous; promotes any particular political agenda or message; is obscene or offensive; or endorses any form of hate or hate group.

But Staples not only sells “weapons”…it allows them to get into the hands of convicted criminals.

The Real Agents of Change

Democrats like to promote themselves as change agents.  Agents of change.  And this makes them hip.  Modern.  Progressive.  But nothing could be further from the truth.

Democrats promote the politicization of everything and by extension the bureaucratization of everything.  To them government is the best arbiter of progress.  But the process of making government the dispatcher of innovation has exactly the opposite effect.  It creates barriers to entry, reduces choices, dries up resources or locks them away, and leaves a few cumbersome behemoths who plod along beside big government, benefiting from their shared monopoly on “progress.”

Tracker From Honor Your Oath Spotted Again

Back on April 14th Mike Rogers reported on a guy who looked to be a Democrat tracker of some sort.

As Susan stated, we mistakenly labelled this photographer as an SEIU lobbyist/troll yesterday, so we quickly corrected the error, and removed the original post.

Nonetheless, commentators and a tipster are certain that the gentleman is at least an “opposition researcher”, as he’s been seen at several similar events, and if he were press, or a conservative blogger, he’d have introduced himself.

Well over at Red Hampshire--(go ahead and take a moment to think, “No shiite, Red Hampshire is Back?”)–someone took a picture of a guy sitting in a Green 4-door Subaru Outback, taking pictures of people in the parking-lot outside the NHGOP Dinner on May 20th.

Missouri Nullification Bill Set to Become Law

Missouri.svgMissouri House Bill 436, the Second Amendment Preservation Act, has arrived at the desk of governor Jay Nixon, who by all accounts,intends to let it become law without any action on his part.

When asked about Governor Nixon’s intention, a source inside his office told The New American that in an effort to avoid multiplying the several scandals already plaguing his administration, Nixon would likely let the bill sit on his desk without signing or vetoing it, thus allowing the measure to become law without his participation.

The bill would prohibit the Federal government from regulating arms or ammunition manufactured in Missouri that was only distributed or sold in Missouri.

It’s Probably Not A Scheme To Pass An Income Tax

NH Democrats fleece taxpayers againStarting with the downfall of the Casino bill in the New Hampshire House, voices started peeping about how this was really some progressive  plot to pass an income tax.  I guess the two were being connected somehow?  The Democrats voted the Casino bill down so they could use its death as an excuse to summon up a new broad based tax.

Fortunately for us the same House that voted down the casino bill never included the  assumed Casino revenue in their budget.  The State senate never included any casino money in their budget either.  No one except the governor did and her budget has now been through the House and the Senate sans Casino revenue of any kind.

So relax.

Where Does Jeb Bradley Stand on The Minimum Wage?

The New Hampshire Democrat Party is wondering where Republican State Senator (and likely candidate for higher office) Jeb Bradley stands on the minimum wage?  I confess, so do I.

Does State Senator Bradley embrace the left’s obsessive desire to depress employment among teens and minorities by using legislative force to define the value of labor or is he more inclined to let the person whose labor it is come to an agreement with an employer over the real value of their time and skill-set with regard to the position in which they are to be retained?

The New Hampshire Democrat position is that modern day Granite State employees and employers are simply too stupid or corrupt to be permitted to define these terms without government interference.  Is that Senator Bradley’s position as well?
