Sorry Lee Nyquist, Jeanne Shaheen is NOT a Moderate Senator

ShaheenBefore I expose the fraud perpetrated by Democrat Lee Nyquist in the Union Leader this past week, where he gushed about how Jeanne Shaheen is this respected, put together, moderate Senator, I have a quick question.

If George Bush can be blamed almost a decade later for the Obama Administration Bureaucracy engaging in unprecedented intrusions into peoples privacy then why can’t Jeanne Shaheen be held accountable for the IRS targeting Conservative 501(c) 4’s while she was actually asking them to go out and investigate 501(c)4’s?

Since When Does Kathy Sullivan Even Have the Moral Authority?

Kathy Sullivan seems to think she has the moral authority to attack Mike Biundo and Citizens for a Strong New Hampshire on ethical grounds, accusing them of hiding behind a 501(c)4 filing status so they don’t have to disclose donors who help them then expose the questionable policy decisions and the hypocrisy of elected Democrats.

New England Patriots to Sign Tim Tebow

ESPN reports that the New England Patriots have picked up Tim Tebow. I think Tebow is a good prospect for an offense that thrives on players who can perform in multiple rolls.  Tebow can run well, catch, and passes better than most other utility players who might be asked to throw the ball down-field or … Read more

Good Morning Spies!

Team Obama is spying on you.I just wanted to wish a hearty good morning to the NSA or IRS, or whomever is tasked with surveilling my “extremist rants.”

And oh, the irony of that.  I’m an “extremist” because I think freedom and liberty demand a smaller more accountable government where the money, power, and responsibility are, preferably, kept to the lowest common denominator.  I think that way because it is easier to keep an eye on it, and reign it in when it tries to get out of control.

Yet here we are saying good morning to the faceless, unaccountable, big government bureaucrats who are secretly collecting data on everyone in America; using their power to affect the right of assembly and association, affecting national elections, collecting everyone’s phone records, spying on the press, scraping the whole of the Internet for everyone’s online activity, for purposes stated as domestic security but then, who defines that moving target?

If This Isn’t Big Brother…Hate to See who Is.

I scraped this off a decidedly Liberal leaning forum where you typically find anti religion, anti conservative or anti-Republican smears. So has Obama the Magic Negro finally found a way to break his own spell over the average, doesn’t give a damn about much voter/observer?

How ’bout A Little Leftist Prejudice

This morning we had the privilege of having as a GrokTALK! guest, Cornerstone Policy Research Executive director Ashley Pratte.  Ashley was sharing with us the different reactions she gets when people discover that a 24 year old young woman is…(gasp!) a conservative.  That she is not down with the progs femi-nazi struggle.  That she is not interested in wearing a birth-control pill costume or advocating for taxpayer funded birth-control or abortion.  That she is not a sex object for political play nor does she facilitate this personae by letting the opposite sex use her body as another whistle-stop on the hook-up culture express.

Smart, tasteful, literate, articulate, well-informed, disciplined, activist, and not at all a Democrat.

Needless to say, they are in high dudgeon over the possibility.  How could she, how dare she, what is wrong with her?

Groktionary

We were having some fun this morning–actually I was having some fun–putting the Grok prefix to a host of suffixes for my own amusement.  The catalyst for this was a request from Skip to all the Groksters for some guidance regarding something Grok related that we’ve been working on for a while, that he will be announcing in the near future.  I took it upon myself to just invent a list of these things, some obvious, some with qualifiers, and at least one with a complete definition.

So here it is, the short list at least, to which I refer.

A Democrat Who Wouldn’t Know Sincere If He Heard It

Maggie Louisville Slugger Hassan - Beat Republicans with a batNew Hampshire Democrat Party Spokes-kid Harrell ‘Jersey Shore’ Kirstein, in response to State Senator Andy Sanborn apologizing for mistyping Governor Hassan’s name in a tweet, has questioned whether Senator Sanborn’s apology was sincere. (Hippo Press)

(Sanborn Typed Haggie instead of Maggie.)

Interesting tack for the Democrats if you consider that the Republican Sanborn’s Democrat opponent, Lee Nyquist, had a campaign manager (Kevin Hodges) who during the 2012 campaign said that Democrats should beat Republicans with a bat, with their hands, with their feet…to which then candidate for Governor Hassan said That’s a good answer‘ …as a room full of Democrats in Goffstown laughed.

I confess to not remembering if Hassan, Nyquist, or Hodges, ever apologized at all…

The Enabling Effect of Government Agencies on…New Hampshire Fisherman

Gone fishinSenator Kelly Ayotte was on WGIR with Jack Heath the other morning (per-recorded interview if I’m not mistaken) to talk about the effects of a recent decision affecting the local Fishing industry. She is trying to overcome the arbitrary observations of a local regional board, that have resulted in a decision with the force of law, that now prohibits these small businesses from fishing Cod beyond newly established limits which the Fisherman find absurd. The effect can and will likely have a crippling effect on New Hampshire Fisherman, their livelihood, and their families.

This is a prime example of how bureaucratic power expands as a result of enabling legislation and then acts based on the interests of those who populate such organs, directed by like-minded special interests, to the detriment of everyone else.
