CEO of Simon & Schuster A Hillary Supporter

hillaryThe president and CEO of Simon and Schuster had to have been one of the people who signed off on Hillary Clinton’s fourteen million dollar book deal pay-day; a book that is being summarily trashed; a book tour that is being ridiculed.

But when you’ve got a thing for the candidate….

Carolyn Reidy, former manager at CBS, and current president and CEO of Simon & Schuster, is a Hillary Supporter.  When Mrs. Bill Clinton ran in 2008 Ms. Reidy made at least three donations totaling $2,300.00 dollars to Hillary Clinton for President.  I’m sure as a manager at CBS, a period that has overlapped her leadership at S&S, she provides input on the standard media in-kind contribution to politicians she favors.  Maybe?

Whatever the relationship, Reidy can’t be the only stiff in S&S leadership who has a thing for Hillary. Fourteen Million? They think America likes her that much?

Bubble. Big bubble.

Beware Chairman Bearing Republican Unity

NHGOP WoodshedWe got more of that Republican ‘Unity’ the other day. You will recognize it right away. It is the same Republican unity that resulted in a New Hampshire Republican sponsored expansion of ObamaCare in NH. A gas tax. Support for a speech chilling, anti-first amendment bill, an anti-gun rights bill and others.

The unity of which I speak comes from Republican Party Chairman Jennifer Horn.  She showed her true color, Brown, when she publicly tore into Jim Rubens and Bob Smith for not immediately signing a letter of support for whichever of them won the GOP Primary to challenge Democrat Jeanne Shaheen. Horn stated that their refusal suggests they could later choose to support a third party or even Democrat candidate instead of the Republican primary winner.

That’s amusing coming from a state party with a habitual tendency to ignore and even impede the effort of Republican candidates that have not fallen close enough to the NH-GOP ruling class tree.

You read that right.  Poo Flinging Mayor Resigns.  (It is not a CNN/MSNBC top story because the mayor is not a Republican.) To have fallen so far.  Less than … Read more

Obama administration is dumping illegals…

Is it just me or does anyone else think the Obama administration is dumping illegals all over the place to create pressure for some form of quick and easy immigration reform? They tried to run guns into Mexico so they could make the case that US guns ended up in the hands of drug lords.  … Read more

Ready For Hillary To Redistribute Wealth to Herself

Hillary Clinton has redistributed $14 million dollars from Simon & Schuster to herself.  That’s how much they paid her in advance for her book deal. The publisher shipped one million copies of the book to retailers in advance of the publication date but have only sold 60,000 copies (and 24,000 ebooks). Expectations for a massive … Read more

Let’s not forget about how Obama ‘forgot’ about the VA

VALet’s not forget about how Obama ‘forgot’ about the VA.

Obama knew the VA had issues, campaigned on his commitment to correct it, increased the VA  budget by 78% as proof that he meant it and…matters somehow declined anyway.

“…the problems at the VA were so obvious that they became a campaign issue in 2007-8. Barack Obama pledged the “most transparent administration ever” during his primary and general-election campaigns and attacked the Bush administration’s handling of the VA (as did John McCain, the Republican nominee). The Obama administration received warnings as far back as the 2008-9 post-election transition that wait times were being manipulated to hide poor response, and then warned repeatedly after that to look into the issue, including one internal memo in 2010.

Union Leader Discovers That the IRS Lost Some Emails (Updated)

lerner email bluescreenYesterday morning I noted that no one in NH media had dropped one dot of ink, digital or otherwise, on the latest feature of the IRS tea Party targeting scandal. You recall the IRS scandal.  That’s one of the scandals where no one wants to testify, Lois Lerner plead the fifth, people are hiding and ducking, democrats are blocking every effort to find out who is connected to the intimidation of tea party groups, and now important correspondence between key players has gone missing –but there’s no scandal, seriously, this was just made up by the Right to distract us. (From what, Benghazi?)

Well, the Union Leader has finally embraced the latest aspect of the IRS targeting scandal.  They have a large article in today’s paper, page two no less, by Rachel Bade, which reports that Lerner’s computer crashed back in 2011 and the IRS lost a lot of stuff.  (A lot!)  They think they can recover some of that, but they may not have even backed up Lois Lerner’s email every day…maybe.  It’s complicated.

whisper/ Write that down and use it the next time the IRS asks you for something.  And why not.  NH Agencies do that as well.
