A recent audit of funds dispersed by the Federal government’s  National Science Foundation revealed, wait for it…waste, fraud, and abuse.

The audit, conducted by the National Science Foundation inspector general and the Defense Contract Audit Agency, detailed spending by the Colorado-based National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON). The nonprofit, designed to operate a network of ecological observatories across the continent, is solely funded by the National Science Foundation.

They spent $25,000.00 taxpayer dollars for a Christmas party and $11,000.00 for premium coffee services. This is an environmental group entirely funded by taxpayer dollars, and are they.  Their budget in 2007 was $5.6 million.  By 2012 it had risen to 63.7 Million.  (An 11x + increase)

Dear Gun Owner,

I am troubled.  We thought that our Second Amendment Rights would be well protected when the Republican Caucus in the New Hampshire House of Representatives voted for Rep. Bill O’Brien as their choice for Speaker of the House.  Unfortunately, I have learned there is a mutiny afoot in the what now appears to be a fractured Republican Party.  More on that later, first I want to explain why it is so very important that we support Rep. O’Brien.

As many of you may know, the Speaker does much more than just preside over the House and moderate debate.  The Speaker is responsible for assigning committee members and chairmen as well as “steering” favored bills through the legislative process.  Rep. O’Brien did all of this and more when he was Speaker in the 2011/2012 session.  He made sure that anti-gun bills died and pro-gun bills such as “no duty to retreat” were passed over the Governor’s veto.  To be honest, we need Rep. Bill O’Brien as Speaker of the House.

I am troubled because I have learned that NHFC D rated, anti-gun Rep. Shawn Jasper is leading the mutiny to elect some other anti-gun Speaker of the House.  Rep. Jasper is looking to make a deal with the anti-gun Democrats to elect an anti-gun speaker.  Rep. Shawn Jasper is an elitist power hungry politician who will do anything for his own selfish reasons.

We are not sure exactly what promises have been made, but one thing is certain, the Democrats have nominated NHFC F rated Rep. Stephen Shurtleff as their choice for Speaker.  D rated Rep. Jasper or F rated Rep. Shurtleff, or A rated Rep. Bill O’Brien.  The choice seems obvious to me.

Time is of the essence, we must act now, the House will vote for Speaker on Wednesday, December 3, 2014.

Yes, a lot of Democrats probably are telling Republican Shawn Jasper that they will “vote for him” for speaker.  But they wont.

Democrats are not going to vote for Shawn Jasper because he has no chance of winning and his mere presence in the race gives them hope…

Why?

Jasper watering down the Republican vote is the only chance the left has to get a left-wing Democrat nut job like Stephen Shurtleff as speaker of a Republican majority House.  So every Democrat Rep will be whipped to vote for the Democrat candidate for speaker.   Jasper just has to get enough Republicans to vote for him to give Shurtleff the nod.

KnifeRight’s.org just had its first annual best and worst places in the US for Knife Owners.  NH tied for first place as a Best place along with Alaska, Arizona, Kansas, Tennessee, and Utah.

Tied for First Place: Alaska / Arizona / Kansas / New Hampshire / Tennessee / Utah
Second Place: Georgia
Tied for Third Place: Arkansas / South Carolina / South Dakota

Law-abiding knife owners face no restrictions on the knives they can own or carry in Alaska, Arizona, Kansas, New Hampshire, Tennessee and Utah. In all these states only the criminal misuse of a knife is illegal. In Georgia, the only restriction is that knives carried are limited to a 5-inch blade.

As we head toward a new session it is important to know who the Democrats are in the Republican party.  One example is (Republican?) David Hess, NH House, (Merrimack 24), who has a voting record on gun rights that is no different than if we had, say… Nancy Pelosi, Elizabeth Warren, or Diane Feinstein in the NH House.  Yes.  He is that bad.

Rep. Hess…

Voted for HB 1589 “requiring background checks for all firearm sales.”

Rep. Hess voted against allowing someone who was denied a handgun license to petition directly to the Superior court and skip the local process. (HB29, Roll Call #7, 1/4/2012)

Rep. Hess voted against allowing guns on college campuses and dorms, in athletic stadiums and public parks and beaches. This bill additionally restricted local communities from making local decisions regarding firearms in these areas. (HB334, Roll Call #11, 1/4/2012)

I should mention where I got this list.  Granite State Progress, the out of state funded 24/7/365 anti-Republican pro-progressive so-called non-profit advocacy group compiled this vote history.  If you could not guess, they love them some Hess-Hole on anti-gun votes.

Just to keep you up to date on the story, limousine liberal Terry Bean (accused of sexual assault of a minor and closely connected to NH party chair Ray Buckley and the national Democrat party) has taken a voluntary leave as a board member of the Human Rights Campaign (according to the Oregonian – registration required).

Bean has held an official capacity with the DNC since 2009 but no one at the DNC, including New Hampshire state party chair (and DNC “vice” chair) Ray Buckley, is on record asking Bean to step aside.  In fact, the Democrats are mum on the matter of a prominent donor, activist, and party committee member being indicted on two counts of third-degree sodomy, a felony, and one count of third-degree sex abuse, a misdemeanor.

So, where is the New Hampshire media or the NH Republican party on this?

Soon to be former NH House Speaker Teri Norelli’s (D- Taxenspend) greatest achievement could have been leaving New Hampshire with an $800 million dollar structural deficit.  It was a huge hole, intentionally created with irresponsible spending, budgetary gymnastics (fraud), and one-time money, meant to force consideration of a broad based tax.  But the Republican majority that followed cut the budget and closed the hole, saving taxpayers, and New Hampshire from Norelli and companies machinations to devolve the Granite State into a corrupt (overly-large) northern county of Taxachusetts.

That could have been her greatest achievement after 18 years in the NH House but it was not.  What is?  What does the Norelli legacy look like?
