While You Were ‘Out’

Huge chunks of NH still don’t have power.  Mine was out from Wed evening until noon today.  Last I heard from PSNH (at least) was that all of their customers would be back by 11pm Sunday night.  Those of you still without power – hang in there. (Those of you working around the clock to … Read more

Where Are The One-in-Five Kids Who Are Going Hungry?

In the [Food Network’s] holiday promotion their spokespeople cite the much-debunked statistic that one in five children in America goes hungry on a regular basis.  .

Something is truly out of whack here.  If one in five American children are going hungry how can there also be an epidemic of obesity that requires the downsizing the heavily subsidized public school lunch program to help correct?   Basic observation indicates the children of the affluent are neither overweight nor emaciated.  If anything, many middle class children tend to look a little pudgy, while a great many of the children of the welfare class and the working poor are noticeably obese.  So who and where are those twenty percent of American children who go hungry?

For more details from Smith on the breakdown of the hungry-kids deception, keep reading.

Instead of the DCCC Annual Let’s Ruin Thanksgiving Flyer…

White meat equals racism
Turkey!

For the past few years I’ve taken a moment on the day before Thanksgiving to post the latest DCCC Annual Let’s Ruin Thanksgiving Flyer.  There’s one every year.  It’s a bullet  punch check list to guide the drone army in a national dinner-time defense of the progressive narrative.

Ever ask yourself why?  Why does the left need to send its fawning acolytes a turkey-day palm card to help them get their Democrat ducks in a row?  Ace nails it.

Supposedly progressives are super-informed and Love Science. Indeed, that’s the main “political” argument they’re actually arguing for.

So why is it so many of them seem to need these bluffer’s guides to explain to them why they believe the things they believe?

The Cushing Sex Act

NOBODY EXPECTS THE CUSHING INQUISITION!
NOBODY EXPECTS THE CUSHING INQUISITION!

Some things should not be forgotten, like Democrat Robert ‘Renny’ Cushing’s Legislative Service Request (LSR) 2015-H-0005-R.

The Cushing Sex Act: requiring colleges and universities to adopt policies regarding sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking as a condition for receiving state funds.

I guess NH campuses are like Indian reservations – not subject to NH or Federal laws on such mattress?  That aside, you’d think that Islands peopled with intellectual experts stewing in cultural Marxism, would have covered all of these bases already?

Renny Cushing thinks not!, and like a good Democrat he knows government can “fix it.”

Intelligence Failure Leads To Dead Americans – Democrats Couldn’t Be Happier

Benghazi embassy attackA report released on Friday got Democrats doing a happy dance over Benghazi.  (For Ann Kuster supporters, that’s a city in Libya).  The report has been spun to clear the CIA and White House of deliberately misleading the public.  So it looks like four Americans were murdered by terrorists because the White House, State, and the CIA, were incompetent.  Winning?

Now, as Jazz Shaw noted, this report leads the readers to believe that “mistakes were made” in the creation of those [Benghazi] talking points, but those mistakes were not the result of an “intelligence failure.” This, despite the fact that an intelligence failure quite clearly led Rice – and White House advisor Ben Rhodes and the State Department’s Victoria Nuland, et al — to believe this attack was something it was not.

The Democrat War on Work…

Figure this one out. The official U.S. unemployment rate has indeed fallen steadily during the past few years, but the economic recovery has created the fewest jobs relative to the previous employment peak of any prior recovery. The labor-force participation rate recently touched a 36-year low of 62.7%. The number of Americans not in the … Read more

I Guess New Hampshire Democrats support Child-Rape Then….

Terry Bean and Kiah Lawson, and...it looks like Kiah is old enough to shave.
Terry Bean and Kiah Lawson, and…it looks like Kiah might be old enough to shave.

Democrats have more to answer for with regards to DNC Committee member Terry Bean, one-percenter, Democrat-fundraiser, and accused pedophile.

Bean got his 24 year old partner access to the President of the United States, event, handshake, photo-op, even though his boyfriend Kiah Lawson (Love the matching scarves or is that one scarf) had a criminal record and history of violence.  The Obama Secret Service (see also Prostitute scandal, White House Home Invaders) didn’t appear to bat an eye-lash over it.

Restraining orders, forcible entry (eewww), stealing a PlayStation 3 from a local Best Buy, misdemeanor assault, drug abuse, driving on a suspended license, all before Bean started dating him.  And yes, it appears that one-percenter Bean knew about the criminal history.

Lawson told WW the two met through Jack’d, and that Bean offered to help him with court fines stemming from his criminal convictions, and encouraged him to stay off drugs and stop smoking.

So “you can’t help who you fall in love with” but you can help them with their violent criminal history, and then get them an audience with the President, and…get them to do some other stuff you really can’t do without them because of your high-profile…

Accused Pederast’s Group Has Dumped Over $100K Into NH Elections

Pile-Of-MoneyThe Human Rights Campaign founder and highly regarded Democrat political operative Terry Bean has been accused of raping a 15 year old boy. [Insert influential “coming out of the shadows” metaphor here.]

Real Estate Investor Terry Bean’s HRC has been putting money into New Hampshire Democrat hands for years, but significantly more after Ray Buckley became Chairman of the Democrat party.  All these numbers are from Open Secrets.org.

Common Core, New Hampshire, And Pleading the Tenth

Stop common coreAnn Marie Banfield – Breitbart (yes, that Ann Marie, and that Breitbart)

In New Hampshire’s last legislative session, no bill sparked more unexpected public engagement than HB 1508. It consisted of a simple statement: “Terminate all plans, programs, activities, and expenditures relative to the implementation of the common core state educational standards which have been adopted or may be adopted by the state board, including any assessments and instruction based upon such standards.”

HB 1508 failed, but not before stirring up a hornet’s nest that shows few signs of settling down.

Green Energy ‘Simply Wont Work,’ Say Google Engineers

There is no "spoon'
There is no “spoon’

Two Stanford PhDs, Ross Koningstein having trained in aerospace engineering and David Fork in applied physics, have spent four years (fully funded by Google) to examine and solve the so-called problem of the so-called renewable energy future.

At the start of RE<C, we had shared the attitude of many stalwart environmentalists: We felt that with steady improvements to today’s renewable energy technologies, our society could stave off catastrophic climate change. We now know that to be a false hope …(Source:UK Register)

Renewable energy technologies simply won’t work; we need a fundamentally different approach.

As we reflected on the project, we came to the conclusion that even if Google and others had led the way toward a wholesale adoption of renewable energy, that switch would not have resulted in significant reductions of carbon dioxide emissions. Trying to combat climate change exclusively with today’s renewable energy technologies simply won’t work; we need a fundamentally different approach. (Source: IEEE)

Now that we’ve got credentialed engineers backed by serious private industry cash (Google-worth kabillions) saying that after four years of intensive research, that the current recommended ‘solution’ to the stated problem can’t possibly solve that problem, how longer before we get them to realize that the real problem is that there is no problem?

Jared Steven Cram Cram Cram Cram Vote-Fraud Cram Eggs and Cram

You may recall Jared Steven Cram.  He’s a former union research hack,  former NH Democrat House candidate, Pennsylvania lawyer (currently attorney with TD Bank), and serial vote thief we’ve mentioned a few times. Since his introduction as another vote-stealing Democrat, activists and local papers (Milford Cabinet?) have been in denial, claiming that Cram has been … Read more

Trying To Keep Up With Obama’s Scandals…

From this weeks Goldberg File – Jonah Goldberg’s point on the problem of trying to keep up with Obama’s Scandals…(emphasis mine)

It is always remarkable to me — which is why I am remarking upon it — how the only way this president can be rescued from a bad news cycle is if an even worse one comes along. This is a source of frustration for many on the right who get outraged by the fact that “we” don’t talk enough about Fast & Furious or Benghazi or the IRS scandal or the VA scandal or Ukraine/Syria/Islamic State/China/Libya/Gitmo . . . . etc. The reason some of these topics get pushed to the backburner, even on the right, is that another controversy or scandal suddenly eclipses the previous one. If I ask you to hold a bowling ball and then, five minutes later, I surprise you by throwing a second bowling ball at you and shouting “Catch!” it’s sort of unfair for me to expect you not to drop the ball. (“That may be the worst thing you’ve ever written” — The Couch.)
