Common Sense Presupposes Something in Common

Dr-seuss-character-list-clipart-free-clip-art-images-dr-seuss-character-clipart-3116_1089Seuss-gate, if you’re not aware, involves the snubbing by a School Librarian in the People’s Republic of Cambridge to a gift of books by Melania Trump. Dr. Seuss, you see, is racist propaganda.

“You may not be aware of this,“ she continued, ”but Dr. Seuss is a bit of a cliché, a tired and worn ambassador for children’s literature. As first lady of the United States, you have an incredible platform with world-class resources at your fingertips.”

She goes further. “Another fact that many people are unaware of is that Dr. Seuss’s illustrations are steeped in racist propaganda, caricatures, and harmful stereotypes,” she claims.

Remember Those ‘Climate Mayors’ Who Swore to Uphold the Paris Agreement?

pariscartoonEarlier this year a group of mayors clung together in the name of the Paris Climate Accord. They insisted, wrongly, that the “treaty” was necessary and they intended to take action locally to support its goals. Some 379 municipal leaders signed on to Climate Mayors.org, which was all most of them ever intended.

As a group, they have done nothing meaningful since.

They Said if We Did Nothing About Global Warming it Would Affect NH Tourism and They Were Right (Again!)

Global Warming Continues to be good for Tourism in New Hampshire. New Hampshire tourism officials are forecasting all-time highs for visitors and spending this fall season, with a good chunk of the travel occurring over Columbus Day Weekend. The New Hampshire Division of Travel and Tourism is expecting 9.8 million visitors to spend $1.5 billion … Read more

The NFL’s Kneel-a-Palooza Isn’t What They Think It Is and They Don’t Even Know It

nfl-kneeling-0924-large-169The NFL’s Kneel-a-palooza is beginning to grate on my nerves. Team owners and players think they are doing something meaningful, but they’ve been shepherded into advocating a false-narrative that feeds the progressive mission to kneecap the culture, and most of them don’t even know it.

Much like the hands-up-don’t-shoot meme, (which was a complete fabrication driven into the collective conscious by a progressive political party and its media homonculi), taking a knee in protest (to what exactly?) is based on exaggerations and misdirection.

Portsmouth Property Re-valuation Meeting Video – Not Available?

Portsmouth average property value - Zwillow
Portsmouth average property values – Zwillow

The City of Portsmouth has been ruffling feathers over a proposed property re-valuation.

“I can see it coming,” Whitehouse said Monday. “Come October or the last part of September when they set the tax rate, then I’ll know how bad things will be. I keep cutting and cutting, but I’m all by myself and I’m trying to hang on.”

Someone just told me that there was a meeting this week, but there’s no video of the meeting. Technical difficulties.

Anthony Weiner Gets 21 Months in the Pokey for Sexting

Hillary Clinton’s Top Aid’s Husband is going to Federal Prison for sexting with a minor. They asked for a sentence between 21 and 27 months, arguing that Weiner’s misdeeds were “serious and … Read more

NFL anthem protest poll good for Trump

Not Suprised. Nearly two-thirds of Americans say NFL players should stand and be respectful during the playing of the national anthem, according to a survey released on Monday. A survey by Remington Research Group found that 64 percent of voters agree with President Trump and want players to stand for the anthem. The survey also found that … Read more

It’s Monday: I’m on the Air at WLMW 90.7 FM at 8:40 am

This will be my last Monday in-studio with Rich Girard but not my last Monday on the program. I’m working on calling-in in future weeks but at a different time so check back for details on that. For today I’ll be poking and prodding recent reporting (and what’s missing from that reporting) on some “privately … Read more

Polling is Now ‘Crap’ In Germany

merkel_facepalmThe militant progressives thought they had a win in Britain until Brexit passed. They didn’t blame the Russians, but the ground was broken for voters keeping secrets from pollsters in significant numbers to avoid being harassed.

Many who wanted to vote for Mr. Trump in 2016 kept silent from friends, family, the militant political left, and pollsters, handing them a stunning defeat (to them) when Hillary had her hat handed to her last November.

Now it’s Germany’s turn as born and bred locals went out in large enough numbers in some districts to vote for candidates in a “far-right” party because no one in the center-left coalition would take them seriously.

Feminist group admits ‘pay gap’ is caused by women’s choices

equalpaymyth

A Researcher for the  American Association of University Women (AAUW) just destroyed the pay-gap myth.

In a recent article on the gender pay gap, AAUW Senior Researcher Kevin Miller concedes that the pay disparity between women and men isn’t caused primarily by discrimination, but rather by the personal and professional choices that women make.

These choices include the tendency of women to work fewer hours to focus on “domestic work” and accept “reduced job tenure resulting from breaks in labor-force participation to raise children.”

Kevin Miller, who should probably prepare himself for some negative attention, didn’t stop there.

“Defending Free Speech” Has to Mean More than Just Opposing Efforts to Silence It

freedom_of_speechAntifa and their advocates have insisted that some speech is so offensive that violence is justified. This is nonsense because violence is never justified where peaceful speech is concerned, they are only looking for an excuse to silence ideas they oppose and have decided to frame everyone that disagrees with them as either Nazi’s or white supremacists.

Not every liberal is onboard with silencing speech they dislike. Peter Beinart at the Atlantic sounds as equally offended as I am.

Why Isn’t Anyone Reporting BLM’s Hank Newsome Being Handed the Microphone at a Pro-Trump Rally in DC?

NH media blackoutA few days ago there was a rally in Washington DC. The Mother of All Rallies, billed as a pro-Trump event, attracted a lot of folks including a group from Black Lives Matter, which the organizer invited on stage as a show of good faith in Free Speech.

“So you guys know that the ‘Mother of All Rallies’ was to end the political violence,” Gunn began.

“It’s about freedom of speech. It’s about celebration. So what we’re going to do is something you’re not used to, and we’re going to give you two minutes of our platform to put your message out,” Gunn told the BLM activists.

You may not have heard this because no media in New Hampshire (that I can find) is reporting it.
