Guns for Beginners: Three Things They Don’t Teach You In Your Concealed Carry Class – that’s that title of a post over at The Truth About Guns that caught my eye.  While I have never had to take such a class (not needed here in NH), it listed three items that just aren’t covered in such a class that, well, are true:

It does, it really, really does.  No matter what caliber or frame you carry, nor how you carry it, it’s different.  And being more an introvert than an extravert (ok, you can shut your very wide open eyes in disbelief now), it was also “awkward“.  IS everyone looking at me?  Can my friends and family stop looking at me?  They MUST know, right?  On the hip, in the pocket, inside the waistband…..

Well now, one of the original feminests, Gloria Steinem, finally admits the truth.

Whenever the argument comes up between pro-death and pro-death, the normal argument that comes up is around incest and rape – the edge of the cliff.  Always to the extreme of their end where they plant their flag and always, always to move the moral argument to the illogical end of “how can you make that poor innocent girl SUFFER!  You cold hearted b*******!”.  And then walk away, smug (but always willing to haul out that “just a blob of tissue” silliness w/out ever admitting that they were such once.

Nope, she came clean said what most of us on the pro-life side know to be true most of the time:

“I wouldn’t have been able to live my life otherwise.”

Selfish. There is no other word for it.

The U.S. national debt jumped $339 billion on Monday, the same day President Obama signed into law legislation suspending the debt ceiling.  That legislation allowed the government to borrow as much as it wants above the $18.1 trillion debt ceiling that had been in place.

The website that reports the exact tally of the debt said the U.S. government owed $18.153 trillion last Friday, and said that number surged to $18.492 on Monday.

And Kelly Ayotte’s vote, joining with a minority of Senate Republicans and the vast majority of Senate Democrats, made that possible.  Forty percent of yet another Trillion in 1 working day.  Bazau!  Our children will laud you, Kelly Ayotte, for years as you have now helped to dragoon them (or would you prefer the less politically correct term, Shanghai’d?) into paying this extra amount for years to come.  And!

I have no feeling for the electorate anymore. It is not responding the way it used to. Their priorities are so different that if I tried to analyze it I’d be making it up.

And John E Sununu is out in the hustings hustling for John Kasich; it is clear that the Sununus have gone all in on and for him.  But I guess I’m part of that electorate Papa Sununu doesn’t get.  So, when I look at the stances that the Sununus must be in favor of (after all, Kasich holds them out), I don’t get how these are Republican values: illegal alien amnesty, supporting Obamacare’s Medicaid Expansion, bigger Government and spending.  Go ahead and do the “if A & B” formulation – I can point to the NH GOP Platform where the planks are AGAINST Kasich’s and, by inference and endorsement, Sununu’s.

Yeah, their priorities are so different than what good solid conservative Republican ones are – well, does it really need analyzing?

Insistent on adopting Obamacare’s Medicaid Expansion while crowing about all that “free money” that’s going to make it happen (or the other way of doing the same lie – “bringing Ohio’s money back home”.  Stuff takes money to do and why is it that ALL state level politicians talk about Fed money as if their citizens never had to pay a Federal tax?). Or that even more evilishness – attacking anyone that doesn’t agree with him as being a bad Christian.  Last time I read that “new part”, I didn’t see Jesus pleading with either Pontius Pilate (the Roman Governor) or the High Priest in Jerusalem nor any of the Pharisees or Saducees to implement massive government programs for the poor – but he did implore individuals to do just that.  Kasich?  Not so much (in addition to having favorable words for the CNBC moderators):

The expansion has already run $1.5 billion over budget, and more people are enrolled than the state thought would ever sign up. . . . The Department of Medicaid reports that nearly 60 percent of these able-bodied adults aren’t working at all. By unilaterally adding more than 600,000 able-bodied adults to Medicaid under Obamacare, Kasich has made Ohio the most dependent state in the Midwest.

So, just like NH State Senators Jeb Bradley, Chuck Morse, Nancy Stiles, and others of their ilk, let’s make people who are or COULD be self-reliant be government-dependents.  Yep, that’s what the Republican platform calls fer, don’t it?
