Speech is speech – in the sight of the Founders, there was no “political” speech, there was no “hate” speech, there is no “hurtful” speech – merely speech.  But certainly there are those that believe that THEY have the ability to limit the catagory of speech they don’t like simply because they use Political Correctness to add an adjective in front of “speech”. Certainly, NH Rebellion belongs to this coterie of constrainers.

New Hampshire parents want the best for their children, and that includes a great K-12 education.

The state’s public schools provide a conducive learning environment for most of its children, but for some children, the local school does not meet educational needs. They are at increased risk of falling behind or, worse, not graduating high school.

For these children, an alternative learning environment is necessary. For some with special needs, this means taxpayer-funded placement in a private school designed to provide an appropriate learning environment structured to best meet the child’s physical and educational needs. For others, a nearby chartered public school provides the learning environment best suited for the child. And for some, school districts wanting the best for their children have contracted with private schools. Coe-Brown and Pinkerton Academy are examples where public funds pay tuition for students attending these schools.

As the home of the first-in-the-nation presidential primary, New Hampshire residents are going to have plenty of opportunities in the coming months to find out where national, state and local candidates stand on critical policies. If they value their pocketbooks and want federal agencies to operate within their legal jurisdiction, their first concern should be the Environmental Protection Agency’s costly and illegal carbon reduction plan.

In an obvious effort to shore up his environmental legacy, President Obama and the EPA are backing an expensive scheme to reduce carbon emissions by power generators. Disappointingly, New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph Foster has chosen to support the president’s efforts and leave the fate of our electricity system up to bureaucrats in Washington, D.C.

However, attorneys general and elected officials from 27 states are not standing by while the president flouts the rule of law to cement his legacy. They have filed a federal lawsuit against the EPA based on the fact that the Clean Air Act specifically forbids it from regulating emissions from existing power plants.

This at the UL caught my eye with the title of Dave Solomon’s Power Plays: NH joins energy community rights network (emphasis mine, reformatted):

It goes on to talk about the “puzzling” question of why people would “vote against their own self-interest” – the hubris of Progressives that just can’t seem to get that a lot of people don’t have a hankering to be “taken care of” at the expense of them making their own decisions. As we have been watching, the culmination of the Frankfurt School efforts has intersected with the elementary Ed crowd’s “show up trophy and self-esteem-o-rama” and the landing pads of helicopter parents (will SOMEBODY please stick a stick into that rearward prop??).  This from Powerline’s Ammo Grrrll seemed sufficiently cogent in summarizing how to salve their ills and self-absorbtion (emphasis mine):

Once again, immigration has decided to front and center itself – it was illegal immigration and now it is immigration of the refugee type, specifically Syrian refugees or, more importantly, those of the Islamic Jihadist (be it ISIS or AQ or some other of the same ilk) not wanting to waste a crisis (hey, where have I heard THAT before?).  Here it was clear that my Ambassador from the Federal Government to NH Senior Senator Jeanne Shaheen (pbuh) was toeing the Feds / Obama’s line of “ooh, strict, strict, strict vetting process!”; that post was to be a partial knockdown of that obvious bald faced lie silliness spewing from her with the boost of WMUR not bothering to, as a true journalist would, challenge her on the facts.  No, not just on the fact of the process but in the reality of the ground in Syria as well as the Obama Administration’s admissions that the “databases” to be considered are non-existent (not to say that these “refugees” have no paperwork to speak with – only their tacquiya word is to be believed.
