We changed topics, in the comment section at  Treehugger’s Katherine Martinko mental midget meltdown (people are misbehaving and not living up to her standards about eating meat).  Since Jim Gordon didn’t want to come out and play with me anymore, another commenter decided to take his place but in a totally different direction – one can either take it as not understanding one’s own language or realizing “oops, I’m being called out on it”.  And of course, for me, one is never enough so I went after both at the same time.  After all, the key is just to use their language, challenge them on their DEFINITION (which they HATE) and how it differs from our common language. And then decided to let folks know that we have to be bribed in order to act the way “they” want us to.

Humans, including Americans, do all kinds of things that are harmful to the environment in some way. And, for the most part, humans will not change their habits unless economically incentivized to do so. The one thing that will reliably lead to reduced meat consumption is for meat production to internalize all of the currently-externalized costs.

Astroturf, anyone?  Thanks to the Wikileaks release of the John Podesta emails, we know that the Left routinely starts up groups, pays them, and then calls them “grassroots”.  That’s their model which also goes far to explain why they have ALWAYS called the TEA Party movement a creature of (get ready for it…..wait…..ok, now) the Koch brothers (er, still waiting for my check, sirs!).  They don’t grok that some of us do it for Principle only.  But that’s how they went about delegitimizing one of the most grassrootiest people oriented movements ever.  And then the GOP decided to get rid of them too, but I’ve already opined enough on that.

So, the value add of this video is that James O’Keefe and friends did another one of their “infiltration” investigative reports and this time, deep diving into the DNC / Astroturf / campaign / agitprop swamp that is the Democrat operational swamp to get to the people that assemble and pay those “troops”.  NOTICE: video after the jump contains course language, NSFW

I’m not the only one that is noticing that the MSM has dropped all pretense of being the “who, what, where, why, and how” – objectivity.  Oh sure, I’ve pointed this and them out for years but this election season, it is beyond “over the top”:

I’m tabbing a bunch of posts about the WikiLeaks-Podesta emails and if the media wasn’t so brown nosing up Hillary’s arse and those of her progressive posse, these email might be the end of her campaign.  But they’re busy protecting her (and “Caining Trump”) so the only source of discussion of these emails is coming from the Right blogosphere.

Sheeple?  I prefer LIVs – Low Information Voters.  It is not that they are stupid but certainly do not take their civic duties highly.  Easy to prove – the “man in the street” interviews I’ve posted up in the past.  They may know the latest about pop culture but nada about their government (after all it is supposed to be about WE the People).  The problem here is that Progressives don’t believe that the citizens have a government – in their model, people are there to be ruled (not even governed, but ruled).  Emphasis mine, reformatted:

That’s the title of yet another great piece by Victor Davis Hanson, a Professor of History at Stanford.  I know that I have used the Roman Empire as a parallel comparison to what I see happening here in US in both culture and political – he calls folks like us out for being off base.  Instead, he thinks that Medieval times are a better fit – a couple of snippets (reformatted, emphasis mine):

Sidenote:  First, Democrats were all but ready to burn these same insurance companies for causing our healthcare industry because of a lust for greedy profits.  Now that they are suffering large fractional parts of a billion each and are pulling out of the Exchanges (due to legal fiduciary responsibilities to their shareholders) and pulling out of the Democrat only legislation created, mandated, and over-burdened the same, they are being put on the rack for “destroying” the Exchanges.
