New York Gun Control Activist Arrested Carrying a Gun

Anti-Gun Activist Dwayne Ferguson arrested on Felony Gun Charges
Anti-Gun Activist Dwayne Ferguson arrested on Felony Gun Charges

Gun-Grabbing, anti-second amendment activist who vocally advocated for New York’s SAFE Act was arrested February 6…for carrying a firearm on school premises. Despite the fact that Ferguson, who does in fact possess a permit to carry a gun while seeking to take guns from others, The Empire States draconian gun laws do not permit the carrying on school properties.

Now, the SAFE Act proponent faces felony charges for violating the very law he himself had a hand in creating.

Granite State Progress Speaks (Lies) On HB1589

My name is Zandra Rice Hawkins and I am the executive director of Granite State Progress. I write today to encourage you to support HB 1589, a bill that will require criminal background checks for all commercially advertised firearm sales in New Hampshire. Since there has been a lot of email traffic on this bill, our organization has put together the following information to help elected officials better understand the ins and outs of the legislation being voted on this week. My contact information follows for any further questions and we encourage you to reach out if we can help clarify any section of the bill or background.

Back in July, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie hosted a dinner at the Governors Mansion where he hob-nobbed with members of Hamas and the Muslin Brotherhood, erstwhile lamenting a “gaze of intolerance that’s going around our country …” When concerns were raised about concerns for being too cozy with Islamic supremacists, Christie dismissively asserts,

Londonderry Voters: James “Doc” Marron III for State Rep

Lower Left: James “Doc” Marron III

James “Doc” Marron III has made it clear that he is running for the New Hampshire House. Would it not be great to send Doc Marron to Concord, working side by side with Al Baldasaro? This simply needs to be done.

Juxtaposed by the present representation by Lisa Whittemore, arguably one of the most liberal progressive members of the current house delegation from Londonderry New Hampshire. It happens; They do slip by. More importantly, though,  Whittemore has  not only supported, but advocated for every leftist policy and measure coming from outside the Granite State…and make no mistake about it, that is from where they come. She clearly is a darling of the left.

“Background Check” Charlatanry

“It seems to me sad when … you give a platform to the charlatans. It is doing great damage to the struggle. It sows confusion and uncertainty where there should be no confusion and uncertainty.” —Stephen Lewis

There is a bill right now in play. HB 1589and amended version. The bill seeks to require all firearms in this state to be sold or transferred through a licensed firearms dealer and provides for a criminal penalty for a violation.

Deception abounds. These folks use the word “background check” implying that all kinds of guns change hands in commerce without some kind of check in place.  Second, this bill and its sponsors, subtly imply through this bill that all gun owners possess some requisite criminal intent; Subterfuge for the trading in illegal guns. I am not going to use the words, “Background Check.” It is a phrase co-opted by anti-gun left and I reject it.

Meh.

HB 474 passed out of the house today on a roll call vote of 188 to 155. “Relative to eligibility for in-state tuition rates at the university system of New Hampshire,” as the bill is titled, provides in-state tuition rates for “crimaliens,” those who are not present in our State, much less our country, with the benefit of being here, legally.

This bill is morally repugnant to so many who filled out forms, came to this nation and played by all the rules to be citizens and reap the benefits

Oulson and his wife Nicole were at the Wesley Chapel Theater for a, “date night.” Media accounts state that Reeves was annoyed by Oulson’s cell phone use and Oulson refused to shut off his cell phone when the movie previews began. Chad and Nicole have a 22-month-old daughter.

Clearly, we have a problem when legislators continue to find ways to incrementally chip away at our second amendment rights. But this bill is just a bit more insidious than what folks saw here today.

HB 1589 “requiring background checks for all firearm sales,” is a rather deceptive title because not only does it seek to wrest control of private firearms sales, but transfers that are made without money being exchanged.  The second aspect of the bill is that it provides the basis where shooting on privately owned lands may be curtailed. Finally, the bill begins with legislative findings that are chapter and verse from talking points used ad nauseum by the Bloomberg and Brady Campaigns.

The SB 244 And NICS Problem

The Hearing on Senate Bill 244, “[R]equiring the names of certain persons to be reported to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System Index,” came to hearing Tuesday before Senate Judiciary.

The hearing process puzzled me. As is the custom, the Bill’s sponsors came and testified (and their testimony hardly reflected any model of brevity) Then came Pro-Gun New Hampshire in support of the Bill. Evan Nappen is an attorney who is thoughtful, articulate and I am certain he has gun owners interests at heart. But lets face it, (and I am reasonably certain he would agree) any petition filed in any court in New Hampshire is going to take a great deal of time and money. Evan said the cost to avail oneself of this would be around $1,000. I am skeptical and do not think so. But I will elaborate more on that later in this post.

Fergus Cullen Asks Granite Staters To Fund College For Illegal Aliens

“Every absurdity has a champion to defend it.”  —Oliver Goldsmith

Fergus-Cullen-Grape-Kool-AidHouse Bill 474, Sponsored by Representative Peter B. Schmidt, (D) Strafford-6, would allow for in-state tuition status for  for students who are without a lawful immigration status. In short, this Democrat…this academic…who has a “dog in this fight” sponsors a bill to provide tuition at in-state rates to illegal aliens and the children of illegal aliens. Yeah, we get it. This is what Democrats do. Peter Schmidt has not ethical scruples about being a college professor and at the same time, sponsoring such a bill. No surprise here.

Cullen continues his amazing ride atop the waves of his highly visible tenure as New Hampshire State GOP chair. Yet, during Cullen’s largely ineffective tenure, Democrats dominated the Governor’s Office, Then The Senate and the House. To be fair, there was a nationwide democratic wave, but we saw no unique vision from Fergus which planted the seeds for good and effective Republican governance and the Elder Sununu had to step in and take the reigns.

Store Clerk Kills Robber; Robber’s Widow Sues Store Clerk

ramon sedillo
Deceased Armed Robber Ramon Sedillo

This is the story of a career criminal. He is…or was, rather, 29-year-old Ramon Sedillo of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

In 2003, Sedillo and two of his pals snatched an 89-year-old woman’s purse outside a grocery store. Knocked to the ground, the elderly woman succumbed to her injuries and later died.

Sedillo and his cohorts were charged with murder. Defense attorneys for these hoodlums argued the murder charges were unjustified, so instead of murder, Sedillo was convicted of robbery and sentenced to five years in New Mexico State Penitentiary. Sedillo, a known gangster, has been in and out of prison for the past decade.

Wind Farm Blues In Groton

“Socialist elitism will not conquer the Granite State by way of the federal government, but with its steady migration of mass-holes, carpet bagging their NIMBY politics, CAVE politicos and BANANA buddies, manipulative zoning, community planning, variances, fees and their homegrown branded definition of ‘Quality of life’…” —LFGC Club President Rick Olson

nimbyI had not remembered saying that until I saw it in a publication whose topic is the building of shooting ranges. I stand by that statement and I think many would agree that we see this phenomenon in play more and more frequently as the Granite State becomes inundated with transplants.

Many come (and will come) to get their slice of the Normal Rockwell life then work at a feverish pitch to exclude others…or worse yet, stamp out those who do not fit that picturesque definition. They have amassed fortunes in places like Boston so they give little consideration to the local economy or culture they do not see.
