Who knew that you were an elitist by eschewing mere shacking up?  Yet, three things can basically keep one out of poverty – get your diploma, get a job, and get married before kids.  For all of the hoopla over the “new” trendy of single unmarried girls with kids and that they shouldn’t be shamed, I saw the misery these gals lived while running our daycare.  Dependent on the state for child care, food, medical needs, transportation (and for the very few that took advantage of it, meaningful education other than LGBT / womyns studies); I watched the veritable circus of badness rotate through the lobby – the smiley faces followed by dour looks as the latest “beau” flips into their lives and their beds followed by withdrawnness (and sometimes, bruises).

Yes, he was drummed out of the US Senate for praising retiring ex-segregationalist Strom Thurmond – the grievance-mongers hauled out their Political Correctness swords and hacked him to slivers (even as those same hypocrites gave ex-KKK Grand Kleagle Senator Byrd a pass for the same stances). At the time, I thought he got a raw deal.  Then he came out with this after the 2010 elections in which a larger than expected TEA Party based candidates won their way to DC:

“We don’t need a lot of Jim DeMint disciples. As soon as they get here, we need to co-opt them.”

As a TEA Party guy, whose main goal was only to put Constitutional values back into vogue and into force of operations of our Government, my jaws gritted more than a few molecules of dentin from my molars.  He showed pretty much all that was wrong with the Establishment Republican wing of the Party – only concerned with winning elections and wielding power – but in doing so, only wishing to be loved for being more efficient at implementing Democrat policies which did nothing to stem the higher and higher spending, the increase in the debt, and slow but steady distance from what the Framers knew to be needed in Government.

And now, if Obama wasn’t enough, Lott has now inflamed the Liberty and Freedom wing of the Party, once again with these bon mots:

In foreign policy, this means cozying up to our enemies while putting “the nose in the air” when dealing with our “former” allies.  Yes, the scare quotes are intentional. To be specific, if you were Israel, would this be all that comforting?  This from the This Week with [Clinton’s former wonder boy] George Stephy’s interview with Iran’s Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif  on the “game changing” 15 minute phone call between Muslimphilic Obama and Rouhani, the new Iranian President who, as I point out, serves the Grand Ayatollah of Iran.  Yes, the President that reports to what Democrats here in the US are always screaming about here (an incipient theocracy by those of us that cling to our Bibles), an actual Theocracy.  Yet, does Clinton’s former White House wonder boy, George Stephy, bring that up?  No, in fact goes 180 the other way:

Here in NH, we have heard the NH Dems cry “SETTLED LAW!  SETTLED LAW!” when they thought that  Republicans were going to “re-legislate” the homosexual marriage law.  And a bunch of others.  And yet, when they took control this session, immediately they started in “re-legislating” in either watering down or removing laws that the Republican majority had passed – Deputy Dawg’s try at removing Stand Your Ground being a good example.  Rumors have other laws in their sights. The case has been proven: Democrats do not care for “settled law” arguments unless it is their own laws that are under the microscope.

Yet, from DC, we are hearing the Democrat lamentations over Obamacare – “passed legislation!  passed legislation!” as the US House may send up a Continuing Resolution that WOULD fund absolutely every function in the Federal Government.  But NOT Obamacare.  You know something?  That would be perfectly legal AND Constitutional – it is the HOUSE that is, by Constitutional mandate, decide what tax funds are to be raised and appropriated (regardless of what Reid in the Senate believes and the incipient tyrant (or at least, tantrum prone) President has declared by fiat.

Me?  The Republicans are well within their rights to do EXACTLY what the Democrats are decrying – after all, isn’t the current debt ceiling AND the current spending regime results of “passed and SETTLED law”?  So really, aren’t the Republicans just agreeing with them (heh!)?  Mario Loyola from The Corner has a good observation on the Dems constant wailing that Republicans should not do this – that it would hurt Republicans badly in the next election (and appeasement Rs as well) – this is not the same time as the 1990’s (emphasis mine):

There is a crucial difference between what’s happening now and the budget battle between House Speaker Newt Gingrich and President Bill Clinton in the 1990s. Clinton repeatedly vetoed budget bills that contained measures he vehemently disagreed with. Had he done otherwise, he would have been accepting GOP policy on crucial items such as how regulations are enacted. From his point of view, the House bills contained poisoned pills he couldn’t swallow.

This past Saturday, we had Dr. Cooper from Liberty Harbor Academy to talk about Common Core and how it really, well, a take over by the Feds of local control of education.  She also surprised us by bringing up this quiz that WatchdogWire found.  Go ahead and read the questions and how badly slanted they are poised – where do these stand against the Law of the Land – the US Constitution?  As well as if you were more Constitutionally bound, how badly does it portray you as a seventh grader taking this Common Core standard aligned quiz?

Question #1: “I would support a government increase of my taxes if the money were used to pay for expanded health and social programs.”

Question #2: “I think the government should impose stricter limits on access to guns.”

Question #3: “I believe organized prayer should be kept out of schools. Having students pray is a violation of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Question #4: “I would support drilling for oil in a wildlife refuge to help reduce America’s dependence on foreign oil.”

Question #5: “I believe that looking out for U.S. interests abroad must come first, even if that means the U.S. takes action without the approval of the United Nations or our allies.”

The Corner captured this from the Majority Leader of the US Senate, Harry Reid, who has refused to compromise on any Continuing Resolution from the House:

Harry Reid shot down any notion at passing a short-term, one-week continuing resolution, telling reporters on Monday that the federal government cannot operate like a banana republic.

“If we can’t pass this, we’re only truly entering a banana republican mindset,” Reid said at a press conference shortly after the Senate tabled the House’s CR, which postponed the Affordable Care Act for a year. The Senate sent back a “clean CR” that stripped that stripped the House language.

I guess Harry has forgotten this wee little factoid:

The last time the Senate passed a budget was April 29, 2009.

The previous parts to Ken’s talk at the Alton Business Association’s Workforce Housing Forum were kept to around 10 minutes each so I should let you know that this goes about 25 minutes.  The topic was Westchester County, NY – a “lower level of government” that actually believed the Federal Govt’s “Sustainability Community Initiative” was not legally binding – but turned out that the “crack” money dangled out by EPA / DOT / HUD had not just strings attached but steel cables.  Part of the length of this part is a video where the Administrator of Westchester County explained how the old “inch/mile” / “rug out from underneath” became a scary (and EXTREMELY expensive) proposition when the ideologues of “seeing racism everywhere” / “make wealth redistribution everywhere” within the Federal Government decided that what was a legally signed agreement could, willy-nilly, be arbitrarily broached and extended by those whose hubris of Federal Government power knows no bounds (how’s that fer ya, Kitch??).

Er, not so much.  I wasn’t going to write this (at least, first off) but when I heard Mitch McConnell, the top wimp in the US Senate, say this:

“It all adds up to just one thing – a law in trouble. A law that needs to be repealed.  That’s the goal of every Republican in the caucus”.

No longer “stopped” – merely “repealed”.  Safe words, weaselly words – a word that says to the LIVs (Low Information Voters) “we gonna keep on working on this!” but really means “we have no intention of risking ourselves and our careers over Obamacare”.  Sorry dude, you did just that.  You Republican chuckleheads have campaigned on stopping this socialized “camel nose under the tent” Obamacare law since it passed.  “Stop” means “stop by any means” – including at any and every possible point to keep that law from being more fully implemented – which defunding it would do.

But Republicans in the Senate couldn’t and wouldn’t live up to that promise, could you?  Do you really think that swapping one word out, “stop”, for another, “repeal” that we (the base) would get hoodwinked by this switch in tactic similar in nature to Obama’s continual blame game: “don’t blame me!  don’t blame us!”.

Iran – that’s the country that violated our sovereign territory, invaded our embassy, and held our hostages while Jimmy Carter was President.  Iran – the country that has been refining uranium in sufficient quality and quantity to build the bomb that could carry out their oft screamed promise to wipe Israel off the map.  The country that supplied Al Qaeda (Iraq) and the Taliban (Afghanistan) with weapons that were used to kill our soldiers – including the shaped charged explosives just a little bit of time ago.  And just got caught hacking our Navy’s computers.

Obama believes that he, Lurch Kerry, and TOTUS can just wave their arms, say the “soft power” words, and Iran will snap into Obama’s line.

No negotiations – no preconceived needs – in order to have these TRUE theocrats to speak to the President of the United States on equal terms – AS equals.  In the past, with strong Presidents with a strong US with a strong reputation, this would never have EVER happened.  Well, with Obama’s policy of Determined Weakness, it does seem that Obama has brought America’s reputation to, pretty much, equal with Iran’s.
