Clearer and clearer – Determined Weakness

In foreign policy, this means cozying up to our enemies while putting “the nose in the air” when dealing with our “former” allies.  Yes, the scare quotes are intentional. To be specific, if you were Israel, would this be all that comforting?  This from the This Week with [Clinton’s former wonder boy] George Stephy’s interview with Iran’s Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif  on the “game changing” 15 minute phone call between Muslimphilic Obama and Rouhani, the new Iranian President who, as I point out, serves the Grand Ayatollah of Iran.  Yes, the President that reports to what Democrats here in the US are always screaming about here (an incipient theocracy by those of us that cling to our Bibles), an actual Theocracy.  Yet, does Clinton’s former White House wonder boy, George Stephy, bring that up?  No, in fact goes 180 the other way:

STEPHANOPOULOS: It’s been a long time.

This week, analysts in the Middle East have called the events a game-changer, one even likening it to the fall of the Berlin wall.

RIIIGHT – let’s inflate this A WHOLE LOT!  Seriously, the Wall?  A wall that was built to keep its citizens INSIDE a totalitarian form of government (er, once again, isn’t that what the Dems call a theocracy – totalitarian?  Oh, never mind – they can’t acknowledge the irony here).  I digress – let’s continue.  This was kinda cute – right up what the “Blame America Firsters” just love to hear!  Sure, Iran is ready to bury the hatchet IF the US is willing to repent.  This guy has the Democrat “I am a member of a victim class” down to a T:

ZARIF: Of course, we have to do it with an (inaudible) of mutual respect and mutual interest. We believe that, if the United States is ready to recognize Iran’s rights, to respect Iran’s rights and move from that perspective, then we have a real chance and we negotiate with the full authority of the Leader.

That’s right – it’s all on the US.  And Obama, being part of the Democrat Theocracy of Secular Humanism / Socialism, is all too willing to accept that at face value.  In accordance with all of his other actions, he will accept this guilt on behalf of our past sins (we’ll just forget about our diplomats taken hostage, the terrorism globally that they have been behind, and the weapons that they have sent to Iraq / Afghanistan that killed our soldiers, Marines, airmen, and special operators.  Yeah, Obama will overlook that they have also worked against our allies in the region (and beyond) as well).  Obama must be Jonesing to bow to somebody new…he’ll acquiesce to this in a heartbeat. BTW, did anyone else hear that no-so-thinly veiled blackmail attempt by Zarif?

Now, we have a large pool of Iranian scientists. We have an indigenous Iran nuclear program. Israel cannot kill all of our scientists. They have unfortunately assassinated some of them and nobody has raised an eyebrow about it, which is a source of great concern for us that the world, the United States which is supposed to be against terrorism is allowing terrorists to kill innocent Iranian scientists.

But now let me go to the issue and say that all these scientists, the best way to ensure that Iran’s nuclear program will always remain peaceful is to make sure that these scientists operate in a facility or facilities that are observed by international observers, monitored by the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Now comes the first inkling of why Zarif is doing this interview, and it has nothing to do with enrichment or that “well, we might just sell our scientists talent to the highest bidder if you, the US of illegal sanctions against innocent Iran, don’t let us do what we’re doing anyways”.   And of course, if you read the whole transcript, Stephy just drools right on by what should have been a red flag moment.  But that’s OK, Zarif goes a wee bit truculent as Stephy does ask about enrichment:

Our leader has a religious verdict that the use of nuclear weapons, even possession of nuclear weapons, is contrary to religious doctrine.

Right – the Grand Ayatollah pronounced a fatwa.  Nice, and Obama is going to hang a turnaround with the Iranian Theocracy over that (well, Obama DID ignore the ordinary Iranians during their Green Revolution a few years back.  So much for promoting organic democrocy, eh Bamster?  A theocratic totalitarian over “the people”, theocracy over democracy – good to know, Mr. President).

Er, what about that absolutely special doctrine of Islam called Taqiyya, Minister Zarif?  You report to a mullah, of COURSE you would know:

The word “Taqiyya” literally means: “Concealing, precaution, guarding.” It is employed in disguising one’s beliefs, intentions, convictions, ideas, feelings, opinions or strategies. In practical terms it is manifested as dissimulation, lying, deceiving, vexing and confounding with the intention of deflecting attention, foiling or pre-emptive blocking. It is currently employed in fending off and neutralising any criticism of Islam or Muslims.

And finally, we see the real reason for Zarif to have done this national interview this morning:

So, these are our positions. Israel has 200 war — nuclear warheads. Israel is the source of insecurity in our region. Israel is the source of aggression and violation of human rights of the Palestinian people. It should not have the audacity to continue to lie to the American people and to the world by — and mislead everybody.

Yeah, since 1949, Israel has declared that it was going to wipe Iran off the map tens, hundreds, thousands of times?  Oh wait – just a moment of delusion – that’s been Iran and its proxies – Hezbullah and Hamas.  And Stephy, being the good Democrat operative with a byline journalist doesn’t challenge that at all.

The fact that the United States supports whatever policy is followed by Israel is another indication that the United States needs to revisit some of its policies and move forward.

Now, to Steph’s credit, he did press Zarif about the Holocaust and what the Ayatollah has on his website denying it.  Somehow, I just think that this is more of that nonsense of “say one thing in English, completely different otherwise” – MEMRI finds this all the time.  Zarif passes it off (badly) as just a bad translation.

But still, consider this:

Why is Obama so anxious to appease the Iranian Mullahs, REAL terrorists, and start negotiations with them, but is all to willing to call Republicans terrorists and unwilling to negotiate at all?

A call to an enemy, a real enemy, of the US? And not with the elected representatives in the US House of half of the American population?

A window into Obama’s soul and mind….

Where’s that Windex gone to, again?
