European Council President Donald Tusk called US President Donald Trump an ‘existential threat’ to Europe Tuesday.

Tusk wrote an open letter to the leaders of 27 Council member states, in which he listed the US President as a “threat” to the European Union alongside China, Russia, radical Islam, war, and terrorism.  Tusk cited “worrying declarations by the new American administration” as the basis for his including President Trump with other threats to the EU. He said that the threats “make our future highly unpredictable.”

The EU leadership and bureaucrats have one thing in mind – to move the nation-states of Europe into being the United States of Europe but without the democratic elements and separation of powers that we have here in the US.  Instead, they are all about what the US Progressives/Socialists actually desire – an unelected, basically unaccountable, technocratic elite that are destined to rule because, well, they know better than the rest of us.  In this, they are no different, be they European or American, than the feudal society that ruled Europe up until the 1900s.  In fact, most of the European immigrants (legal, dontcha know) left their home countries BECAUSE of the lack of freedom and opportunities due to the weight of those governments.  Yet, even with that fact, Obama near turned us into that and Hillary would have probably finished us off.

CHASER: Senate Democrats Vow to Filibuster Trump’s Supreme Court Choice

HANGOVER: President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he wants Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to invoke the nuclear option if Democrats try to block his upcoming Supreme Court nominee through filibuster.

These really are putting McConnell on the REALLY HOT seat.  Trump has announced that his choice will be revealed tomorrow at 8pm.  The Democrats have now announced (first time that I can remember) that without knowing who it is, they are going to try to stop it. So what is McConnell going to do?

Trump is going to pull the trigger, the Dems are going to start shoving that wall towards the Senate Republicans – what is he going to do in the middle?

Again, Progressives truly believe that they hold the moral high ground in politics and in having such, can be “bossy” (remember when that was a liberal pejorative?).  Looking down their noses, on their high horse, nose up in the air; pick the meme but be clear – this is all about the bicoastal elites thinking that the Democrat majority was here for a 1,000 years (er, didn’t we already have one of those back last century?) that the rest of us should just shut up, get in line, and learn to love the new Progressive lifestyle, morality and governance that our betters were deigning to give us.

U.S. Has Record 11th Straight Year Without 3% Growth in GDP

Obama has boasted about how he “saved” the American economy.  That’s like the mechanic that “fixed” my 0 MPH car so now it will go 10 MPH (when it should be able to goo 100 MPH).

UPDATE:

The latest numbers mean that Obama’s economic forecasters missed their growth targets every year that he was in office. And, once again, economists who had been promising that strong growth was just around the corner — most recently because of a relatively strong third quarter — had to eat crow. It also means that GDP growth has not exceeded 3% for 11 straight years. . . .

In dollar terms, if Obama’s recovery had merely been average, the nation’s GDP would be $2.4 trillion bigger. That translates into $19,000 in lost income per household.
