Today, the New Hampshire House of Representatives voted to pass House Bill 1319 (HB 1319), AN ACT prohibiting discrimination based on gender identity. The legislation was pushed based on the absolute lie that trans people don’t have the same protections against discrimination as everyone else in the state.

The out-of-state organization who pushed this legislation, and spent a lot of money doing so, lost their bid to push the law last session but some Republicans decided to resurrect the bill for some perceived political gain. Again, the bill is based on the lie that everyone doesn’t have the same protections against discrimination in New Hampshire.

What this law will really do is regress Women’s Rights back decades. For years, women fought for sex-based legal protections. There are a number of spaces and organizations that have benefitted women with these legal protections like bathrooms, locker rooms, domestic abuse shelters, rape centers and of course women-only organizations.

Today, in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, Democrats wanted to suspend the rules to introduce new gun control legislation that would ban 18-20-year-old law-abiding Granite Staters from purchasing or possessing rifles.

It seems Democrats don’t want young people to be able to protect themselves, all because of the actions of one teen-aged psychopathic murderer. Apparently, to New Hampshire Democrats, all 18-20-year-old Granite State adults should be treated like psychopathic murderers and denied their fundamental human right of self-defense to protect themselves from actual psychopathic murderers:

Over the weekend, New Hampshire Senator Jeff Woodburn, representing North Country in District 01, deleted a video of himself boasting about how proud he was to have pushed legislation that would ban bump stocks in the state. The video was posted on his Facebook page and only lasted a couple of minutes but it clearly showed Woodburn’s ignorance about bump stocks and his pretty horrific beliefs about his own constituents.

Today, organizations that make money as drug abuse treatment centers held a breakfast for legislators to urge them to continue supporting Obamacare’s Medicaid Expansion. These organizations directly benefit from taxpayer dollars because they rely on them in order to keep their doors open.

In fact, John Burns, Director of SOS Recovery, admitted that his organization will not stay in business if taxpayers don’t keep funding health insurance for able-bodied, childless adults who can work:

Tonight, the New England Patriots won the AFC Championship and will be headed, once again, to the Super Bowl. Of course, every news site was reporting it but one glaringly stood out for the absolute incompetence in their choice of a photo, WMUR.

You see, this photo isn’t of any current team member. According to the Pats’ roster, there is no current team player with an ’81’ jersey other than some dude on the practice squad and he looks nothing like the player in the photo.

On Friday, a disturbing post was made on social media by an actual school board member in the Timberlane Regional School district. Peter Bealo, who is listed as “Board Chair” for Timberlane/Plaistow, posted a photo of the horrific story about abuse in California, then tried to attribute that behavior to all homeschoolers.

The post has since been removed but not after many parents saw it and expressed their shock and anger over such a horrifying statement:

Today, left-wing organizations rallied together to hold another “Women’s March” in Concord. This year’s rally was vastly smaller than last year’s rally but the sentiments were the same. It seems the people in attendance simply hate President Trump and are protesting his mere existence, all while pushing their own political agenda of course.

The organizers call the rally “inclusive” but what they really mean is that only those who agree with their extreme left-wing ideology are welcomed:

What’s truly ironic is women have more rights since Trump became president – women are no longer forced to purchase health insurance they cannot afford. Trump killed the Obamacare mandate in the tax cut bill, which also allows women to keep more of the money they earn in their own pockets rather than in the hands of the government.

On Wednesday, the House Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee will hear testimony on House Bill 1739 (HB 1739), AN ACT prohibiting female genital mutilation.

The legislation is aimed at ending the horrific practice of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) on girls under 18 years of age. On Friday, a Letter to the Editor appeared in the Concord Monitor that explains why New Hampshire Representative Katherine Rogers (D-Concord) should resign after pleading guilty to assaulting a citizen. A majority of Granite Staters, including Democrats, believe Rogers should resign.

Yesterday, the New Hampshire House of Representatives voted to pass Senate Bill 193 (SB 193), AN ACT establishing education freedom savings accounts for students. The goal of the bill is to allow parents, who choose to set up an Education Freedom Savings Account (ESA), to receive a small portion of the taxpayer dollars they are already paying to the state back, to use for their child’s educational needs as they see fit.

There’s been a lot of lies and misinformation spread by Democrats and of course, New Hampshire Unions, but the main purpose of the bill is to allow children to have the best education possible. Not every parent can afford to pay high property taxes, which are mostly spent on local public schools, and then turn around and pay tuition to send their child to a private school that best serves their child’s needs.

ESAs will help give parents more choices for their children if they are not in a public school that is meeting their child’s needs. Some children thrive in public schools, others do not. A parent knows better than a government official, their child’s educational needs. SB 193, is another option for parents, especially those who cannot afford to send their children elsewhere.

January 1^st is usually a day of reflection for many people over the previous year. It’s also a day where people create New Year’s Resolutions to make some sort of change in the new year. Political Buzz decided it might be a good time to create a New Year’s Resolution for politicians in New Hampshire, of any political affiliation, to stop lying to voters.

It’s really quite simple. If you want to pass legislation, use facts about it to explain why to voters. If you oppose legislation, use facts about it to explain why to voters.

Unfortunately, there are too many politicians who chose to lie about legislation to voters. That has to stop. Voters deserve better than to have elected officials lie to them about changes they seek to make in New Hampshire laws. Lying does no one any good and it keeps voters uninformed. That’s simply not fair to Granite Staters.

Yesterday, the out-of-state organization known as “Let America Vote” announced they will be setting up shop in New Hampshire in order to interfere with the 2018 elections.

They are an organization that is run by former Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander and his wife. Their board is a “who’s who” of far-left wing extremists from across the country, including Planned Parenthood Action Fund President Cecile Richards and former Obama White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest.

Yesterday, the New Hampshire Republican Party renewed calls for the resignation of state representative Katherine Rogers (D-Concord). Rogers is the representative who recently pleaded guilty to assaulting a volunteer during a ballot recount last year.

While most people believe Rogers should resign for her deplorable behavior of physically assaulting a citizen, the New Hampshire Democrat party has remained silent on the matter. In fact, according to the Concord Patch, they were there supporting her “guilty” plea:

A contingent of elected Democrats and other activists were in attendance to support Rogers including Ray Buckley, the chairman of the New Hampshire Democratic Party, Minority Leader Steve Shurtleff, D-Concord, Kris Schultz, D-Concord, Ken Roos, a labor activist, state Rep. By now, many of you have probably heard the story of New Hampshire House Representative Katherine Rogers (D-Concord) pleading guilty to assaulting a citizen during a ballot recount. If not, here is some of the story below:

The 2017 ‘Humane Legislator of the Year’ entered a guilty plea to avoid jail time for assaulting Conservative activist Susan Olsen.

CONCORD, NH — A local Democrat and state representative pleaded guilty this morning to assaulting a political opponent during a state Senate ballot recount in November 2016. State Rep. Katherine Rogers, D-Concord, 61, pleaded guilty to the assault charge as part of a plea deal that would help her avoid jail time as well as a fine so long as she stays out of trouble during the next year and attends anger management classes during the next 90-days.
